Ellen is a very underlying disturbed woman as portia is. Ellen is creepy and has been given too much a voice and publicity for who she really is.
Ellen does NOTHING to promote a healthy society, but rather takes a hand in destroying it.

I am happy for them!!! my husband and I just celebrated our 7th anniversary. I hope Ellen and portia have a relationship as wonderful as ours. ANYONE who can have a loving relationship with anyone should!
And as for the people who have commented with a judgement, just remember YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR GOD!!! yoy do not know rightfully what God intended, but I am sure the main thing is that a child have a loving happy home.

i think this is gross. ellen seems to be 'ready to marry' any female she starts a realtionship with. granted, i like her as talk show host but when it comes to her personal like ... yuck. if she and portia broke up tomorrow and she hooked up with someone else over the wkend, she would want to marry that chick. imo.

I really could care less if you are gay, straight, bi, or abstenant. Other peoples sexuality doesn't affect me as long as you don't shove it in my face continually. Everyone should have the right to be married, but as homosexuality is not condoned by many religions I can truly understand there position as well. Perhaps the term Marriage as we have known it needs to change and be reclassified as well. Civil Marriage - marriages performed legally in courts - Religious Marriage - as condoned by each individual religion. And let them each adhere to there own tenants.
Also as a single person, I am disgusted at the preferential treatment married couples Of all sexualities enjoy. Tax benefits, write offs, medical benefits, etc. My roomate and I who have lived together 8 years ( not romantic at all) Strictly for financial reasons would like to have the same benefits. Both of us pay excess self employment taxes, cannot share any benefits, have our taxes contribute to schools that neither of us have children to benefit from. And Since we are in the private sector cannot enjoy medical insurance or pension plans............ We simply cannot afford them.
To #2- In case you have been hiding in a cave most of your life, it is medically proven that smoking kills, a person breathing second hand cigarette smoke can get cancer in some cases just as well as the smoker can. The no smoking laws are good, and protect those of us conceend about our health from people too dumb not to smoke. Ever heard of cancer?
You know, people should learn to be able to make their point without calling someone foul names or saying someone will go to Hell simply because you do not agree with the way they live their lives. I consider myself what I suppose someone would call a far right liberal, or far left conservative. Whichever works. No one in this world is perfect.
I wish I could wave a wand and make everyone respect one another for our differences. (But someone wouuld be bound to scream "witch craft!") If we were all alike, life would be so boring. I'm certainly no saint. Maybe that's why I believe as long as we can do the best we can, live a decent life that hurts no one else--and actually Gays hurt people less than mainstream society--then we shouldn't poke our noses into other peoples' beliefs. I have known many homosexual people, both male and female during my life. I liked many of them because they were really nice people and pleasant and fun to be around. There were some I didn't like because they were so unpleasant to be around.
The truth is, that I can make the very exact statement about all of the heterosexual people that I have known during my life. It just doesn't matter to me what someone's sexual preference is because my relationship with each person didn't involve anything sexual.
The only thing that I would really object to - would be if pedophiles would try to make their sexual desires of children something that all of us should accept. I would be first and foremost, to say "NO! NO! NO! to that!!!
I would also like to point out to you Catholic Christians, that priest have been notorious for being pedophiles, and I was raised as a Catholic, so I am not "telling tales of out school".
