Dottie, who does not know the history of Tatum and John. My point is why would John be happy that she is going through such hard times. At the end of the day she is stil the mother of his kids. What parent would want their kids to see their mother in such despair.

34. I'd say she looks pretty hot for an occasional drug user. Definitely not Amy Winehouse, junkie style. Yeah, Ryan ONeal started abusing her when she was a mere 12 yrs old. Hope she was just an occasional user not a full out junkie. That can happen when your family totally abandons you emotionally. People look in the wrong places to find things to make them feel good. This is a " shame on you" Ryan O'Neal for making your daughter's life total crap.

45. I've been reading these comments (and those on gawker) and I find it interesting at the level of compassion and sympathy for Tatum. People really love her and - I think - have a sense of just how messed up her childhood was growing up the daughter of two egotistical addicts who neglected her and her brother. If you were young in the 1970s and saw her in "The Bad News Bears" and "Little Darlings" - this was someone special. I hope that her life gets easier.
