Celebrity Justice
Judge To Nick Hogan: Let's Play Solitaire

Poor Nick Hogan! A judge has just denied his request to be let out til his 18th birthday. For now, Nicky Boy will stay put in the Pinellas County, Fla. jail.

17-year-old Nick -- whose real name is Nick Bollea -- complained he was essentially in solitary confinement, isolated from the general population, saying it "wasn't fair." Tell that to John Graziano and his family.

He wanted to be placed under house arrest til his bday in mid July, presumably because his parents have been such a good influence on him.

77. i AM NOT SAYING HE SHOULDN'T DO THE TIME, BUT HE HAS RIGHTS JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE AND WHY ARE THEY MAKING HIM AN EXAMPLE WHEN THERE ARE YOUR PARIS HILTONS AND LOHANS THAT GET A SLAP ON THE WRIST AND SENT HOME. i AM JUST SAYING THAT i THINK THEY NEED TO EITHER PUT HIM IN JUVY OR POPULATION WITH THE CALMER OFFENDERS. SOLITARY CONFINEMENT IS FOR NUT KILLERS AND CRAZIES NOT FIRST TIME OFFENDERS. IF THEY ARE GOING TO TREAT HIM LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE THEN THEY NEED TO DO JUST THAT. JAIL IS PURE HELL. i'D RATHER BE IN PRISON THAN JAIL. AT LEAST IN PRISON YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO DO CLASSES AND PARTICIPATE IN PROGRAMS, AND I DONT MEAN THE BUTTHOLE KIND FOR ALL YOU PERVERTS!

78. My thought about this dire situation is that they should at least give him the benefit of the doubt and be pragmatic about the situation. After all, when Nick Bollea flew like 100 feet through the air in a lead lined refrigerator. The part with the millions and millions of ants was kinda gross. But when he crashed his Supra, that was a loss of an AWESOME Supra. It comes with a Jay-Z engine with TURBO CHARGERS.

79. It does not matter WHAT John knew about Nick when he got in/stayed in his car. Bottom line is that Nick was driving and NICK wreck, destroying John's life. NICK'S FAULT and since he is 17 AND his parents have been resposible for much of Nick's bad behavior by condoning it, THEY are fiscally and morally responsible too.

It would be a serious miscarriage of justice to allow Nick house arrest, First, his parents have made it clear that they are not making him own his responsibility in his actions. He NEEDS to sit in solitaire and think about what he did, OWN it. He is also not going to like it when he is of age to be throw into the gen pop, either and will find a way to whine about that. Jails sucks, that is why they send bad people there, Nick. You pay the piper when you dance to his tunes, eventually.

80. 18. I am so sick of people being down this 17 year old kids throat!!! This dumb ass John whatever got into the car, had been drinking, knew this kid had been drinking, was having a good time racing another car, not wearing his seat bealt and then everyone is suppose to hate Nick and feel sorry for John when they wrecked and John was hurt and Nick wasn't? What kind of reasoning is that? They were both asking for trouble and unfortunately they both found it.

This 17-year-old kid was found guilty of a felony. This is why he is in jail.

Nick was driving under the influence of alcohol, Nick was under the legal drinking age, and Nick was speeding. All of those are crimes and Nick _is_ responsible for each and every one of them.

The law also specifies that the person driving a car is legally responsible for the safety of every passenger in the car. Therefore, Nick is legally responsible for the fact that John was gravely injured in a collision that resulted from the other crimes that Nick committed.

Whatever John might or might not have done, and whatever amount of responsibility John might or might not have, it doesn't detract from the fact that Nick is guilty of multiple crimes, and Nick does have legal responsibility for the consequences.

Because of Nick's legal responsibilites, he is paying for his crimes via his jail sentence and other legal penalties. But Nick also has moral responsibilites, and he is trying to weasel out of them. No matter what the courts ultimately decide about the Graziano's lawsuit, Nick and his parents have a moral responsibility towards John. They are doing everything they can to avoid any such responsibility, and this is what is causing most of us to have so much antipathy towards them.

81. PEOPLE is reporting that Nick is suing the sheriff's dept for releasing the tapes, where's ur thread on that TMZ???

83. Not saying Nick is not wrong for speeding like an idiot. But, to all the people that has this guy pegged as the one that solely caused John's demise are, IMO, wrong. Where I live, seat belts were not a requirement up until 8 years ago, but, as far as I can remember I've always made the RESPONSIBLE decision to always buckle up. Maybe this will inspire other idiots to BUCKLE UP and/or to not drive with drunken comrades.

84. The Hogan lawyer might be telling them to keep up this persona. Maybe not...I am not privileged to any of the inside scoop since I'm not related to them.

One thing I do believe though is that two youngsters were part of the same action and both have very different consequences. It's just sad that two young men and their families are basically ruined because of the immature action of TWO kids.

85. I see the Bollea's must be posting here, too...they are the only people in America who can defend this monster they call a son(?).....cry some more, Nick, it's good practice for your REALITY show!

89. Nick wants to sue the Sheriff's Dept? Boy, he really does think he's special.... WAKE UP CALL! You're not, buddy, and you're being segregated according to the law for your own protection because they are trying to protect your sorry ass. I say throw him in the general and see if he's got any of his dad's genes...I don't think so...he's a crybaby wuss...being in jail is the best thing to happen to him...maybe THEY can make a man of him...his parents failed.

90. Dear lost a child,

I am very sorry for your loss. It must be very hard to hear how some people don't take responsibility for their actions,
