Melibu Bible Study Open for Business?
Mel Gibson's passion of the Britney got her a swanky trip to Costa Rica -- so we wanted to know, would the King of Malibu be taking on the demons of any other Hollywood train wrecks?

16. It pleases me to know that there are so many perfect people in this world that have NEVER been drunk and spewed ridiculous vile things! Right.
Some of you need to get over your perfect selves!

17. Nazi? Give me a break. Mel's awesome!

18. As a Jewish person, I was deeply offended by several remarks made by the so called 'man'. And then to spew out drunken words makes me believe his hatred even more. You can not really control or hide yourself while drunk, so when he says things like that, I think there is more validity. I used to have respect for this 'man' -- but not anymore.

19. He creeps me out. Perhaps he'd better deal with his OWN demons first and foremost.

20. Lynne - Everyone has demons, including you!
Max and Melissamae - the use of the word "anti-semite" has been used so many times, it's getting old. No one cares about your cause and if you want to get real angry, get angry over issues such as pedophlia, murders, rapes - you know the things that should get you really angry in life.
You both sound revengeful and hateful but yet I doubt you hate the above issues that destroys lives. Mr. Gibson has said that he is sorry for his words but people like you want to continue a war with Mr. Gibson that is not necessary. Get over it!!!!!

21. Yeah really, get over it!

22. Dear Harvey:
As the main spokesperson/face of TMZ, I direct the following comments to you and I hope one of you staffers will be able to pass the message along. It really reflects poorly on you and your staff, when you are not creative enough to find breaking or even relevant news stories to post online or feature on your syndicated show.
It seems that once you decide is on your hit list, they will remain there forever. What Mel Gibson said and did in regards to his remarks upon his arrest and DUI were and are horrible. He has tried to make amends, but obviously it's not enough for you. I pose the question, what does he have to do for you personally, for you to leave him alone?
In addition, should every celebrity that does something wrong have to come to you for a list of penitential acts and be absolved by TMZ in order to be given another chance and not be shunned like a pariah or harassed as they are living their lives?
I, like many other people enjoy TMZ and other gossip websites, because it does allow you to live vicariously through your favorite celebrity and you get to know more about them, outside of the image they or their publicist likes to put forth, but when you don’t have a story, don’t try to create or provoke one. How about doing some old fashion leg work and actually reporting on something worth reading?

23. Max dear, you might want to go back and read your Bible..................there are many chapters on "forgiveness"! Forgiveness is something Jesus taught as well and it is something you might want to try! It feels good and you will be a much happier person!

24. 12. I agree with poster #8. Enough with the Mel bashing. Give the man
a break. He made one mistake and you still hold it over his head. I
guess that tolerance and forgiveness thing only applies when it's
convenient, huh?

No, it's simply that tolerance and forgiveness don't make money for Harvey Levin. Actually, to be more precise, I should say that intolerance, childishness, controversy, meanness, and character assassination make lots of money for him.
Harvey couldn't care less whether what he publishes here is decent, fair, tolerant, or even truthful. All that matters to him is whether he can stimulate us to come to the site and post a lot of comments.
The only way TMZ will change is if we stop responding to the gutter-level filth that Harvey publishes. And given the values of the American public these days, that is not going to happen in the forseeable future.

Alia, what you wrote is clear, well stated, decent, intelligent, fair, respectable, erudite, and humane, and I sincerely am impressed.
Sadly, you're casting your pearls before swine.
I believe that Harvey deliberately writes trash, and he does so (1) because he is a petty, hate-filled, vengeful person, and (2) because he knows that there is lots of money to be made this days by sinking as deep into the gutter as possible.
If Harvey pays any attention at all to what you have so eloquently expressed, it would simply be to mock you and your sentiments. I truly believe this.
