64. # 11 absolutly... No question this could happen to anyone's teenager. The difference is in the way this family behaves itself.
I have had a child who spent time in jail, she made a couple mistakes and paid for them. It was heartbreaking, I would visit her and tell her I loved her. Difference....... I held her feet to the fire whenever she started with the ,this is terrible,I don't deseve this, it's not fair etc, etc,etc......
I would tell her " I love you, there are consequences for your actions, does not matter if you or I think this is fair. You will come out the other end of this ; better or bitter the choice is yours" Over and Over again until it sank in.
Was this easy? NO! Was it my responsibility as a parent? YES !Did I vomit in the parking lot after that first gut wrentching visit? YES! Come on Bolleas ,contact a family psychologist and step up for your kid's sake. By now you must realize 90% of the public find your behavior heinous, we can't all be wrong or not understand. We understand all too well. Stop,think, act like real parents it's not too late!

67. This is not totally all Nick's fault. John was the adult and another friend was racing against them.. why is the media making this out to be 100% Nick's fault? Nick did not force John into the car with a gun to his head.. If there were no accident on that night and they were pulled over by the police John would have been ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt and contributing to a minor even if he did not buy the beer but because he is the adult.

Even though I will defend Nick that it is not completely his fault... I do feel it is time for Linda Hogan to start acting like her real age, "65." Time for her to turn in her hooker shoes and grow up..

70. 64. Kammi, No one is saying that Nick is 100% at fault. John is paying a serious price for any errors in judgment hemade that day. All anyone wants to see is Nick express some heartfelt remorse for his part in all of this. His remorse at trial was an act and ever since he has been locked up it has all been about him. He has accepted zero responsibility.

71. NOW the real time begins -- Nicky's stuck in that small cell 23 hours a day with just himself for company, for month after month after month. He will either come out changed and a man -- or he will come out worse than before, violate, and go right to prison for a few years.

Kids, this is what happens when you make a choice to drink and race cars.

72. Nick better not say one more word. I see no IV poles, no respirators, no hospital beds, etc...Sorta like Nickie's little Hilton. Nick's got it good. He better realize that fast and be truly thankful.

NIck hasn't even been in jail 8 weeks, much less 8 months so this initial uncomfortableness shows that he is thinking about his life and how his decision have led him to such a dismal place. It's just as, if not more, uncomfortable, for his parents/family who are dealing with the embarrassment/pain of Nick. Lesson time for everyone. Nick is suffering, Linda, Hulk and Brooke are suffering and learning. Not pretty, not fair, but over time of a few months they will redirect their lives because what they are doing now is not working. But that realization is the hardest lesson of all.

75. This kid has to wake up. He screwed up big time, whether he meant to or not. There are consequences. He's acting like an incredibly stupid, spoiled child. His parents are truly a parental embarrassment. All of them need to get a major reality check - not a reality show. Just disgusting.
