Lets Get This Party Started
Tatum - The Dog Made Me Do It!

Tatum O'Neal is playing the oldest blame game in the world for her crack attack –- it was the dog's fault!

In this case, she tells the New York Post, it was the death of her dog Lena that set her off in the spiral that ended with her allegedly buying crack on a street corner. "My daughter and I had to put her down. It was too horrible for words," says the ex-kid star.

She adds that the cops "came and saved me" from doing crack. Of course, she pleaded not guilty to actually buying the crack yesterday.

"Nashville" Wannabe Corn Gets Creamed

The drama is already roiling on "Nashville Star" – and show is just starting to tape! TMZ hears that Charla Corn, an original member of the top 12 go the axe from producers because they thought she wasn't up to "Star" snuff.

So as chance would have it, guy group Third Town had to get on a plane at 2 am Monday to get to Nashtown for the morning. No word on what's happened to Charla, but she'll be missing the show's big move from USA to NBC.

We also hear that Taylor Swift will be performing on the premiere.

SJP – I Do Not Follow LiLo Anytime, Anywhere

Sarah Jessica Parker is super steamed that a dress designer put her in a dress for the big "Sex and the City" premiere that had been everywhere before – including on Lindsay Lohan!

The New York Times first reported that SJP wore a Nina Ricci gown to "SATC" that – horrors! – had been worn earlier in the month by socialite Lauren Santo Domingo and then – before that – by Lindsay Lohan in a Disney ad campaign. That just won't do, says Sarah: "It's just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again."

Party Favors: Universal Blaze Blamed on Blowtorch ... Allan Houston Gets Back to the Playground

L.A. County fire officials say that the blaze that engulfed Universal Studios' backlot in flames was caused by workers using a blowtorch to heat asphalt roofing shingles, according to the L.A. Times. ... While old combatants Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce battle it out in the finals, we hear that ex-NY Knick Allan Houston is hosting a celeb b-ball tournament at legendary Rucker Park on Sunday, June 14, as part of his 5th annual Father Knows Best retreat – a program that focuses on dad-son relationships.

31. FYI for all you SJP bashers...TMZ has the story ass backwards.....

From MSN.com:

Parker explains to the New York Times that she was told the dress, designed by Olivier Theyskens, had yet to grace the red carpet and had only been photographed for magazine shoots (Lindsay Lohan posed in it for Harper's Bazaar).

But, the day after the premiere, she was less than thrilled to discover that socialite Lauren Santo Domingo had sported the frock to the Met's annual Costume Institute gala, which she attended on the arm of Theyskens.

"In the big picture, this is not important, but there is a relationship between the entertainment industry and fashion," the erstwhile Carrie Bradshaw conceded to the paper. "We've watched sales dwindle and we've watched people be less inclined to spend money on clothes."

As the paper points out, "wearing a dress on the red carpet is business ... The actress is lending her name and glamour to the dress, and the fashion company is reaping the publicity to sell other products."

To SJP, whose couture- and Manolo Blahnik-crammed "Sex" flick burned up the box office last weekend, what the design house did amounts to a haute couture hoodwinking.

"Look, my affection for the dress hasn't changed, but what they did was so short-sighted," says the star, who has her own successful, low-priced fashion line, Bitten. "It's just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again."

Parker says that during the fitting, Theyskens personally assured her the gown had never been worn.

"He didn't say, 'Well, actually I just escorted Lauren down the red carpet at the Met,'" recalls Parker. "I just wish it had been handled differently and they had been straight about it."

Responds Mario Grauso, head of Nina Ricci's parent company, "I'm upset that she's upset."

32. Doe's it really matter what SJP said to who, what or WEAR! She's bitching about the dress because someone else wore it.
Which is so not Hollywood...........................geesh.

33. My heart breaks for Tatum. We can't imagine the depths of pain she has had in her life and the fact she might have not been emotionally nutured enough in her developmental years to handle the bumps of life later on. That's why I believe so much in HUGS NOT DRUGS. I believe we are just now understanding in a scientific complexities of addiction and we really should not "judge" those in addiction like it is some "character flaw" (when the scientific data proves otherwise).
Death of a pet can trigger all sorts of unresolved emotions especially in a person with a latent chemical additction and I send prayers of hope and healing for Tatum

34. "Unethical", SJP? PUH-LEEEASE!! It's a freakin' dress, diva. You looked amazing in it, and could have made a comment like, 'It may have been worn before, but I made it my own'...wow. Unethical? What a ridiculous misuse of the word.

I loved the movie...but put your ego in check, madame.

35. My 17 year old dog died one week after I finished college. I chose her out of a litter of pups when I was 6 years old. She was FAMILY and it hurt like hell. I can see how Tatum, with a long history of drug addiction, could turn to drugs. Of course she shouldn't have done it, of course she knew it was wrong, but that's why it's called addiction.

36. SJP needs to realize that what is unethical is that the money spent on her shoes could feed a 3rd world country. Does she realize how ridiculous she sounds, ranting about a dress wearing being unethical?

37. My - My So fricking what if Tatum O'Neal got popped. Only thing that bother's me is she made a statement one of which
isn't worth the powder ( she should've stuck to ) to blow it to hell. Just another celebrity doing her thing for whom I'm going to add to my "RE-HABS FOR QUITTERS" Hall of Fame . In due time Tatum all will quiet down and you'll face the music
pay your debt to society & go back living life in your own fashion. Don't blame it on the dog . That's to country western.
Lay it on the line & tell all the critics where they can go cause y'now there going to twist it around one way or another

38. hooligan ~ sounds like you know a thing or two about being popped!

Posted at 12:22PM on Jun 3rd 2008 by HILLARY IS DONE

39. Tatum just face it your a crack head because you would of bought crack whether your dog died or not. Celebrities need to grow up and realize that they would be respected more if they would just say hey im a crack head or im an alcoholic instead of making up retarded excuses

40. Even if she was misquoted, to throw around unethical for a dress is still stupid. Sarah, unethical would be if a doctor told everyone your private business/conditions. Lying about a dress is just.....a lie, nothing more.

41. Walmart? Low rent? Neither of which I have experienced!

Now that is funny...................thanks for the laugh moron!

42. A dress worn by two other people has been "worn everywhere?" Parker needs a reality check -- life is so much more than her appearance.

Posted at 12:39PM on Jun 3rd 2008 by LiLa

43. Wouldn't 'Ya know it now I'm being criticized & accused with a one liner . And I've no celebrity status...huh ? I'm thinking
the country western comment probably ticked you off , no ? I've alway's known that the only way to stop Inbreeding is to
Ban Country Music . Sorry , but had to put that out there because...just because.

44. Unethical? It's a dress. Seriously? You really have nothing else important going on in your life if you condsider wearing a dress that someone else wore unethical. Just act in movies, don't talk to the public, just act. Clearly you should stick to what you're good at. Anything outside of that is too much for you.

Posted at 1:00PM on Jun 3rd 2008 by Leigh

45. Was there one dress worn by three different people? Or three separate, but same design dresses worn by three different people? Hollywood is so far removed from reality...I don't even care how she used the word unethical...still much ado about nuttin'!
