Party at Heath's Place Too Ghostly

A chi-chi party that is being thrown one floor above the place Heath Ledger died has just been 86'd.

We're told the building owners weren't informed Calvin Klein was throwing a glitzy, tight-invite soiree tonight in the penthouse, one floor above the unit where Ledger lived and died.

Owners just shut down the shindig. Eva Mendes, who was the party's main attraction, was the only celeb who had arrived before the party was broken up. We're told a fleet of 25 BLS limos arrived to shuttle guests to a different location.

17. TMZ - your story sucks!

Was the party canceled because the building is haunted or because Calvin Klein didn't have permission? I don't get the connection.

18. Sounds like they were caught sneaking into an old boarded up building. This story doesn't even make any sense.

19. I have to agree with the decision to shut down the party. Partying like that just perpetuates the hollywood sterotype that all stars do is get drunk and high. Does no one remember that it was just over 4 months ago that he died from a DRUG OVERDOSE? Maybe the owners don't want another death on their hands.

20. It's not because it was cursed by Heath but it stilll smelled like Olsen Twin.

21. Perhaps the building owners were concerned about Eva Mendes, the party's main attraction and, who is fresh out of rehab, partying there after the incident with Heath Ledger?

22. I don't get it! It's not like they wanted dance on Heath's grave or something! I don't think the whole thing had anything to do with Heath living there.

23. Interesting. I wonder... Is that Karma?

24. Looks like TMZ's attempt at a cute headline is confusing a lot of people lol. The building's owners halted the party for whatever reason. Maybe they just didn't want a damn party in their building. I'm sure the building is still open. All the details that pertained to Heath were just that--details.

25. It's just a building, it's just a floor. Heath is gone, and although it was a terrible, tragic loss, it's time to move on. RIP Heath. Life does go on for the living.

27. Should the whole building me made into a shrine? He died in his apartment, I am sorry that he died. But, get over it! Life goes on!

28. What? I don't even see the connection.

Yes. Heath Ledger died there. Apparently Calvin Klein lives there. And?

There must be something more to this story. Or something that is going over my head...

29. So what? Lifes stops for that building????? Ridiculous, it must not have been for the Ledger Reason. They must have been too rowdy. Perhaps channeling a Studio 54 afterparty?

30. So a tenant must tell the landlord if the tenant wants people to come to his own home? I'm sure this has nothing to do with the dead guy. More likely the noise would bother the other living tenants. There have probably been complaints before about Calvin's parties.
