Jamie Lynn Pap Pinched for Stalking

A celeb photog who's been snapping Jamie Lynn Spears and her baby daddy Casey Aldridge down South has gotten popped for stalking -- even though if this happened in LA or NYC, he'd just be one of the pap pack.

Edwin Merino was arrested yesterday on charges of stalking J-L and Casey in Liberty, Mississippi. He says he was at least a couple hundred feet away when he was shooting them, but cops still nabbed him at the gas station where he was shooting.

He posted bond and is skedded to appear in court next week.

31. News Flash! He ain't in L.A.; he's in the South and we don't play that sh#t. He'd best learn his lesson and move on-I'm sure that there's plenty of buckshot at Jamie's house just callin' his name. Y'all come, ya heah?

33. He was arrested at a gas station? She was in public and since when can't you take pictures of people in public. Cell phone cameras are everywhere! Too bad if she didn't want her picture taken. It's not like he was peeking in her bathroom window. She doesn't want the pictures taken, she should keep her fat, pregnant azz home and out of the public's eye.

There would be no reason to take her picture if people didn't buy them. Stop whining about 'poor jl" until you all stop buying the tabloids. LOL hypocrits.

34. How about saving stalking laws for the people that need it. How about the woman that tries to get help from the police when her ex husband or ex boyfriend is stalking her. She is told well we cant do anything till he does something. Then you see her picture in the paper that she was murdered. OOOPs whos BAD? Yes, JL really needed protecting. Get Real.

37. good!!- no-lifes living their washed out journalism careers vicariously through stalking others' privacy- hey here's an idea, let's follow Harvey and his idiots around 24/7 for a year and see how he likes it

38.

Good. People may put up with having cameras shoved in their face constantly and paps climbing trees for the perfect shot, but not everyone likes it. Not even in L.A. Paps have gotten out of control. Not only are they a menace, they can be a danger to traffic and public safety while they are chasing celebrities.

39. Best thing I've read all day! Hope the others paps get the same Southern hospitality - they take care of their own. She is NOT free game just b/c she was on a tv show, idiots. If she was seeking publicity, it would be a different story - they are so obviously NOT seeking publicity. Let them be.

41. I find it sick that some ADULTS in here are calling this child names like slut. I wonder how many of you adults waited unitl you were 21 to have sex. I guess some assume that there was no protection used. These paps these days are to aggressive and someone is going to die. These paps have already causes auto accidents while chasing a celeb, What is worse is nothing is off limits to the paps. What gives the photogs the right to take pics when these celebs are with their children. Its a shame that celebs children cant live a normal because of the greed of TMZ and other companies that pay top dollar for these type of pics. I think some paps should be arrested for harassment, I dont know but isnt it harassment if a photog sticks a camera 2 inches from your face, Isnt harassment when a celeb is pushed or stopped from driving or walking because paps block them from going anywhere, Isnt is harassment that some paps would say and do anything to get a reaction from a celeb so they can get a better pic, Paps are the lowest forms of life

42. You know we are ALL supporting the paps right now, as we type. TMZ keeps count of how many "hits" thay get every day, the more hits the more sponsers, the more sponsers the more money, the more money the more paps, the more paps the more celeb gossip, it rolls on and on. So if you are against the whole celebrity "stalking" thing, the best way to get that across is to NOT COME TO TMZ. Stop stressing yourselves out, they get PAID to be "stalked", and love it. There are hundreds of celebs whom you NEVER see in the tabloids, because they don't want to be seen. When was the last time you saw a scandalous story about Tom Hanks? ( Just one example).

44. If Jamie-Lynn and Casey think things are bad with the paps now... just wait. they have done gone and opened a can of whoop-ass on themselves. Paps from ALL over the country will descend on them. I hope they can make Casey talk again. I love hearing his banjo boy accent.

45. Hey, "down south" isn't Hollywood. Despite all the ding dang ya'll hillybilly sh*t you always post at TMZ when referring to Mississippi and Louisiana, we do have laws. If you're following someone around with a camera - um, yeah, that's stalking. Try it on your non-celebrity neighbor and see if that flies in court. It's about time a judge had the balls to send one of those freaks to jail. Keep the paps in California. We certainly don't want you here.
