If women actually wanted equality, they maybe shouldn't have the assumption that they automatically get custody. 35. I wanna know why it costs so much to take care of a child. I know it isn't cheap, but seriously $40,000 a year? It is ridiculous to think that all this money is going to the kid, especially when there are separate orders to pay for other things.

38. OK Broeheem.....let's take the sexism out of this. Why should anyone have to pay these ridiculously high child support amounts? Why isn't there joint custody at least? Both parents should be responsible for child support and if that means that one of them has to get off of their lazy butt & get a job, so be it! By the way, I don't work outside of my home. I work 24/7 in my home taking care of my elderly mother & I still find the time to "fetch" my husband his beer & sandwich all the time. I appreciate what my husband does for me & he RESPECTS me for who I am!! Guess what? His mother will be " under my care" in the future too & I'll STILL "fetch" him his beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly about the men comment. This wouldnt be "news worthy" except for the fact the Anne is a woman who has to pay. Men pay 99% of the time. It's about time a woman got it stuck to her.

As a side note, we havent heard the whole story. Women don't lose the kids unless they have some srious problems going on. She settled and gave up her kids to keep SOMETHING from coming out in the courts.

41. My sister has a computer consulting business, and a Jersey Mike's submarine shop to run. Her husband stays home and takes care of their 3 children while she travels. He is a great father, so I don't have any problem with a stay-at-home father. He is fantastic.

If both people are broke, then both parents need to go out and get a job.
