Sure, Britney Spears is making some progress with her kids -- but she's gotta lose that damn cell phone.
As TMZ first reported, the pre-5150 Britney often ignored Sean Preston and Jayden James during her visits with them. Yesterday was better -- she's giving S.P. and J.J. some face time, but Spears still spent more hands-on time text messaging than touching her boo boos.

Notice he never runs to his mother and hugs HER (in any picture that she doesn't have him in a strangle hold) ....she's simply there. Very sad.

17. I think because her time is limited with them she should devote all of that time to them. The more interaction the better. She is looking great and less manic so I pray she is doing well. She is immature and having her parents around is saving her from herself. Just send good thoughts to her, it works.

20. 12. Thank the Lord there's no one spying on me... I use the phone while watching my kids!! What a horrible mother I am. Sometimes I even use the computer.... I should be locked up! I read magazines too, and do the laundry, and clean the toilets, and wash the floors, and vacuum, and wash the dishes. Call the psych ward!!! I'm out of control and don't look and play with my kids every second of the day!

22. Where in the hell were these photogs while snapping the pics? Looks to me like they were on top of the roof or a neighbors house! Brit lives in a gated community......................so, how did "Final Pixx" get these money shots? When she is at home with her children behind a gate, leave her alone!!! Damn, no wonder Ed MacMahon can't sell his house! Who would want to live in an area where someone can stap a picture at anytime?!

23. Just walking around, going to the park with my own daughter, all you see is moms sitting watching kids and talking or texting on their phones. She is no different then another other mom out with her kids.

24. granted she is trying to get her kids back, but c'mon. who hasn't answered their phone and texted while with their kids? she is entitled to some privacey and to be a normal person. i'd rather see her answer her phone with her kids present than dragging them to all the paparazzi locations although apparently she can't even have private time with her children without people lurking taking pics.

26. You can see the OBVIOUS editing of this footage to only show her being on the phone. Right after tossing her son's hair (sweet moment) the film cuts to her on the phone again. What about the in-between time? Show the whole thing TMZ, or would that make your story less interesting to talk about? Yeah, thats what I thought.

29. Of course she is on the phone, she's working!!!!! Someone has to support her dad, her lawyers, and let's not forget about Federline. Between my two businesses that I run, I'm on the phone all the time too. If she was stuck in a office somewhere, or in meetings - away from her kids, everyone would still say she neglects her kids. She gets to work and spend time with her kids at the same time. I think most people that bitch about it are the jealous ones.
