Coco Go Loco -- Gets Red Socked
There's nothing better than a bench clearing, eye-bustin', gut stompin' baseball fight -- especially when the guy who started it is named Coco Crisp -- seriously.
Finally, a reason to sit through a baseball game.

46. coco had every right to charge the mound..and if this site had the whole story right they would be talking about how crawford and gomes behaved.

47. Irish Spring, you're an idiot but then what can you expect from someone who calls themselves after a deodorant soap.
Baseball Junkie take a chill pill: You are right that it's too early in the season to call it but the Red Sox have already had a lot of injuries and we've come back from them. Also we had a nasty flu running through the club at the beginning of the season which took several players, most significantly Jason Varitek, arguably the best game caller in the league although he's not so hot with the bat. Mike Lowell, Gold Glove third baseman, was hurt for a couple of weeks. Daisuke Matsuzaka was sick and right now has a shoulder injury. Kevin Youkilis, Gold Glove first baseman, was hurt. Manny Ramirez is having trouble with his hamstrings and so on.
But we'll see what's going on in September when things really heat up. I hope the Yankees do get better because a rivalry is more fun when it's close. Besides, I still think that a lot of the Yankees problems are due to mistakes made by the ownership.

49. dial, Well, duh.
Who are you going to be next? Ivory, Softsoap. Or do you want to branch out into laundry products like Tide, Downy or Spray n Wash? Fructis Garni, maybe?
Actually, I am kind of interested to see which way your mind works. Don't feel you have to take any of my suggestions though. Your choice will be far more telling.

54. No Red Sox players injured?
Not even a seperated shoulder?
Come on Rays, let me give you some pointers.

55. dial, no Fructis Garnis is not a laundry product. I was branching out into other cleansing products. Perhaps you want to go with something more like Mitchum or Secret. Actually, given the tone of these posts, I think Secret would be very appropriate. And, I note there is only one person who posts here regularly who calls me bj. Of course, I can thibk of 3 people who I usually find funny so that gives me 50/50 odds.
Graig Nettles.: of course, there were injuries. On both sides. But despite Gomes pounding on Coco while other Ray players were holding him down, Coco was out playing tonight. It takes more than a bunch of Rays to take out the Red Sox. Even the Yankees don't usually manage to seriously injure anyone in their brawls. Of course, Yankee players don't usually punch someone while they're unable to fight back. Except for a few memorable exceptions. (Tanyon Sturtze. The turncoat was actually born and raised in MA.)
FYI: of the 8 players suspended, 3 were Red Sox, 5 were Rays. Coco got the worst because he started the incident by charging the mound in the first place but Shields, the Rays pitcher, got only one day less and Gomes got one day fewer than Shields. All in all, the Rays came out much worse after the fracas.

58. Maybe Tampa's just trying to develop some team history. They are very young. Mind you, I think they'd be better off sticking to being proud of how early in their development they won a World Series. After all, they did beat the Yankees.
