Celebrity Justice
Evander's Liquid Diet

Evander Holyfield has pulled a Bill Clinton, who famously translated the word "is". Evander now says there's a difference between being "broke" and "not liquid".

"I'm not broke. I'm just not liquid," the ex-champ tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, insisting he didn't "blow" the hundreds of millions he scored in the ring.

His lawyers claim the 109-room mansion is no longer up for auction. Maybe he sold more of those "Real Deal" grills.

Evander made nearly $250 million from his fights over the last 24 years. And that doesn't include AFTRA scale for "Dancing."

16. If your guys (or gals) don't know the difference between assets and liquid assets, then maybe it's time to start hiring some college grads, Harv. This is a non-story.

18. I KNOW THAT SOMETIME RICH PEOPLE AND POOR PEOPLE SEE'S DIFFERENT. BUT FOR A MAN TO SPENT MONEY ON A 109 ROOM MANSION HE DID GET BLINED BY THE GREEN. YOU HAVE CHILDREN IN EVERY STATES THAT LIVING IN SHELTERS BECAUSE MOM AND DADS CAN'T FIND A CHEAP PLACE TO LIVE. HE COULD HAVE BUILD A SMALL APARTMENT COMPLEX OR REMOLED THOSE THAT STILL STANDING IN EVERY STATE TO GET SOME OF THESE FAMILIES OUT OF THE SHELTERS AND STILL HAVE SOME OF THE MILLIONS HE WASTED IN HIS POCKET.

YOU CAN'T SERVE GOD AND PLAY WITH GOD TOO

HOW ABOUT THAT HEE-HAW

19. How are Ed MacMahon and Evander both broke and Lionel Richie still got plenty of money? If I ever thought some millionaire might go broke it was Lionel. If he didn't spend all his money I thought surely his daughet Nicole would have. And talk about nasty divorces.

You go Lionel, smarter than your average Hollywood idiot!!!

23. There's a very old concept called "land-poor". It means that you have property but you can't sell it quickly so it isn't useful for paying the bills. You can also have assets in stocks, bonds, CDs, etc. and they aren't really liquid either since you either have to sell them for a loss or pay serious penalties. I own a house but I would be in serious trouble if some emergency came up because I don't have much in the bank and in this market, I can't refinance it for what it was worth last summer. Besides, it takes awhile to get the deal through in the first place.
Having assets and being liquid are not mutually exclusive.

27. Ok, I was just going to say something about the difference between assets and liquid assts but I see that's already been covered. And yet still, there will continue to be the dumb asses posting about him being broke. These people only like to read their own posts. They don't actually read what other people write so they might actually learn something they didn't know beofre...which is alot around this site!!
