21. If this were not true Ms. Gershon would have begun litigation immediately and never asked for a retraction. Should Vanity Fair publish a retraction, they would be minimizing Ms Gershon's case for libel. The retraction would be legally viewed as remedy. To an attorney this letter is an admittance of complicity.

That's it; no more, no less. About as actionable as sharing a pizza. Clearly, the not highly recognizable Gershon needs the PR and was delighted to find her name benignly mentioned in the Vanity Fair article, page 127. She should send TMZ a small stipend for pumping a non-story.

Talk about fancy word play - to parse, Vanity Fair only "reported" on a claim that *somebody else* made about Clinton and Gershon, so they aren't making the claim themselves.

Like when Bush said "British intelligence" had evidence of a clandestine nuclear program. Hey, I'm only saying what the British claimed, I'm not endorsing that claim or anything.
