95. I remember when Spike Lee was miffed that some Black people were dating Whites. He made a big deal about it back in the day. He didn't believe in it, and that he thought it was going to ruin his race. You can't help who people fall in love with!

I read the entire exchange and it's hysterical. Eastwood explained that the movies were period based and that blacks were not part of the history of the movie. I don't watch those historical movies - they bore me, but I still think Eastwood was in the right and Spike was wrong.. Eastwood has done historical movies based around black history and he cast black people in it.

REGARDLESS, CLINT EASTWOOD TELLING SPIKE LEE TO "SHUT HIS FACE" IS HYSTERICAL!

And Spike Lee is an instigator... He's the one who instigated it all..and then he tries to knock Eastwood's choice of wording, yet he calls him a "angry old man" ?? WTH?

103. Once again, why is Spike living here? It's funny, at work, the "Africsn" Americans hate being associated with Black Americans. Why, because of the never ending self-serving, the world owes me, attitude. MLK most spin in his grave when carpet-baggers like Spike, Al, Barrak, and Jessie pander to create drama to allow themselves a position of power. Why isn't Spike going after the Democratic Party for having KKK leadership? Why does he attack the Religious Right when all his leadership cast are labeled Reverend? Its to keep the sheep in line. My Uncle was a second landing Marine in Iwo Jima, and it left him torn and broken. I have seen photos of landing groups, and there was not a black man among them. They weren't allowed to be front line troops at this point. Was that racist, sure, and stupid, but Spike chooses to create fantasy land history. Just like the fact that Africans weren't captured as slaves, know you history, they were sold by other black Africans. The slave trade in Africa at its hight started as the Muslims began using its southern neighbors as a labor force, yeah Spike, Muslims you tool. This grew into the trade that was overtaken by the British to supply the new world and later the Portuguese. Do you have any idea how many men it takes to take over a village for slaves? Lots. The Europeans set their ships to only run enough to run the ship and cover these horrible trans-Atlantic vessals. The controlling West African tribes learned from the Muslims that began the crazy slave trade and were rich and powerful, often making European vessels wait months off-shore before allowing them to buy slaves. The Portuguese Duatre Pacheco Pereire wrote in the early sixteenth century after a visit to Benin that the kingdom "is usually at war with its neighbours and takes many captives, whom we buy at twelve or fifteen brass bracelets each, or for copper bracelets, which they prize more." Olaudah Equiano, an ex-slave, described in his memoirs published in 1789 how African rulers carried out raids to capture slaves. "When a trader wants slaves, he applies to a chief for them, and tempts him with his wares. It is not extraordinary, if on this occasion he yields to the temptation with as little firmness, and accepts the price of his fellow creature's liberty with as little reluctance, as the enlightened merchant. Accordingly, he falls upon his neighbours, and a desperate battle ensues...if he prevails, and takes prisoners, he gratifies his avarice by selling them." Slaves existed in Africa before these trades, and exist today. Freaking @sses like Spike, and any ignorant unread morons who chose to listen to his hate without reading or learning about facts are why Black America is still weak. They are feeding or their own. This does not go on with my Native American people, does not occur with Hispanics, Asians, and not with whites, not at this level. I hope that someday a strong leader comes and owns the problems and stops taking blame. Its like damn AA, own your S! People will only help you just enough to get what they want. 104. Spike needs to shut the F---k up. There were no gays in it either and I don't hear them whinning. As a matter of fact we should do away with all black colleges, clubs, etc.... They should have to allow asians, hispanics, whites , etc... and stop their racist segregation.
