Bride Holds a Hankie
Who needs a limo, when you got Tom Hanks taking you to your wedding.
Tommy boy noticed a bride and her dad on their way to church in Rome yesterday, and escorted them, presumably to the chapel.

46. Ahhhhhhhh, perhaps the couple DIDN'T want Tom to do this at their wedding? Maybe they are just all smiles to be polite.
I think I might be a little pissed to have this turn into attention for him. It looks like this is her FATHER walking her down to the church and this woman will never get this moment back. It now a circus.
Not a good move Tom.
Ya, he is a good guy, but, even they make stupid mistakes.

47. I don't think Tom Hanks did this because he was trying to be nice. I'm thinking it's because he didn't have anything better to do at that moment.

48. This is kind of arrogant - to assume that every person you meet wants you to walk them down the aisle.
What if this family didn't like Tom Hanks?
Or what if they did, but now their wedding is overshadowed by his appearance?

52. I hope he didnt just assume because famous she would be ok with that? I wouldnt be at MY wedding. But obviously she seems ok with it but it seems a bit audacious on his part.

53. Who asked Tomspanks alot to do that I would not want him near my wedding in Rome. Is the 2nd movie even worse then the first he has to run away from the set. Maybe he should be a pall bearer . Then throw the film and himself into the ocean like a bag of cats

56. This day is about the wedding and MARRIAGE, NOT TOM HANKS. Did anyone see OPRAH crash a wedding reception on her show "driving across the USA in a Chevrolet" last year? She stole the show from the bride and groom. I hope Tom Hanks didn't do that.........I would be weirded out if he walked me to church before my wedding.

57. Thanks for the kind comments - my dad and I were not expecting this on our arrival. Just for the record, we're not Italian and were walking across the piazza instead of driving up as planned because the whole area was closed off as the film set which is why Tom Hanks had to walk us the remaining 100 or so yards and left us at the the doors of the Pantheon. He didn't come in (my dad of course invited him!) but left us to our semi-private ceremony saying he had to get back to filming. The groom had no idea what was going on, he was just surprised I was as late as I was (we'd agreed 5 minutes only!) Tom was genuinely apologetic for interuppting our day but the whole thing was over pretty quick and I was more interested in getting inside to marry the man of my dreams!
And if anyone cares to know, we chose Rome and the Pantheon in particular to get married because that's where we fell in love. And yes, it will be a story to tell the children and grand children but I doubt they'll care much!
