It's Hard Out Here For a Chimp

It is one of the greatest injustices ever perpetrated in Hollywood -- Cheeta the chimp is not on the Walk of Fame.

The legendary 76-year-old star (yes, 76) of "Bedtime for Bonzo" and "Tarzan" is on a one mammal mission to get his name on a star on Hollywood Blvd. Not only does he have his own website, the artistic simian is coordinating an online petition to get him on the Walk, publishing a book, putting a single on iTunes and starring in a new movie!

Kermit, Lassie and Godzilla have theirs -- give the chimp a chance.

36. Geeez FlBiker, sorry to hear that, better luck next "lay."

37. You think this is funny? This beautiful, majestic, wild animal being made to look like he understands the (sub)human interviewing him? People who have this low born sense of humor, dirt balls really, who will never understand how amazing the great, wild creatures of the world really are, (they just have a 4th grade sense of humor), make me wanna puke. Set that god damn great ape free for the last years of his miserable, captive, enslaved life.

38. If you aren't honored with a star, one can pay the $20K to get one. That's what Ryan Seacrest did. That's how come people much more famous and with longer carreers than Seacrest got their stars after Seacrest. They waited for the honor!

40. Careful......It looks like one of those paps-mears; probably has a camera behind his back waiting to get a good shot of someone's undergarment celulite. "Ah what a story", said the undereducated chimp as he texted Harvey with the big story idea. "It's a go" says Harvey, "see if you can make them fall down before you take it."

45. In response to Catherine's comment, it would actually be cruel if they let Cheeta into the wild, He has been in captivity for 76 years, if he was put into the wild He would die because He wouldnt be able to fend for himself.
Also, if you took the time to research Cheeta and his owner, You would know that He isnt being made a spectacle of. He lives in a home in Florida, and is treated amazingly.
