It's Hard Out Here For a Chimp

It is one of the greatest injustices ever perpetrated in Hollywood -- Cheeta the chimp is not on the Walk of Fame.

The legendary 76-year-old star (yes, 76) of "Bedtime for Bonzo" and "Tarzan" is on a one mammal mission to get his name on a star on Hollywood Blvd. Not only does he have his own website, the artistic simian is coordinating an online petition to get him on the Walk, publishing a book, putting a single on iTunes and starring in a new movie!

Kermit, Lassie and Godzilla have theirs -- give the chimp a chance.

46. Put him on the Walk of Fame!!! The hollywood Chamber of Commerce needs to do the right thing. This Chimp is amazing and is much more notable than Godzilla or Ryan Seacrest! Come on!!! We want Cheeta's star!!!

49. So many "misunderstandings" to clear up about our beloved little primate. As Cheeta's personal consultant, I'll take a stab at a few. Here we go:

1. Cheeta takes offense to being mistaken for anyone/anything other than his beautiful sassy self.
2. Cheeta was not credited on the IMDb as Bonzo. He forgot his account password. C'mon Bozo Bartlett, you know better!
3. Cheeta DOES live in Palm Springs - has quite a spread too.
4. Cheeta IS an amazing artist. Check out his site - GOCheeta.com and pick up your one of kind piece today!
5. Cheeta respects & congratulates everyone (real or imagined) with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

51. Ok.......this is REDICULOUS!!!!!!! Cheeta DESERVES his own star a HELL of a lot more than an animated disney fairy!!! He is a SMART guy that has made MILLIONS of people SMILE!! Just that in ITSELF earns him a star, in my opinion!!! Well...even if he doesn't get a star on the walk of fame...he will ALWAYS be a STAR in the hearts of MILLIONS!!!! so THERE!!!
