16. I like Katie ... she's cute, but they won't let her go much longer on the "CBS Evening Train Wreck". She'll most likely be out in the next 6 months to a year. I hope she'll end up back doing what she's good at ... being cute and asking fluff questions.

17. Honestly, TMZ, Katie was being polite to your so-called journalist. The guy said "eminent," not "imminent." And really, chasing celebrities around and putting them on the spot with rude questions, isn't called journalism. It's called stalking. Maybe Katie should have said, "You're a great aspiring stalker," but she was too polite. I don' think working for TMZ actually means you've arrived, do you? It's kind of like having to tell your family that you've been making your money doing porn.

24. NancyR -- I totally agree with your comments. Running around with a camera and a microphone does not a journalist make. I did about as well when I was a journalist -- for my junior high school newspaper. I was really good at doing those "Student of the Month" articles where we asked a popular kid about their pet peeves, favorite color, favorite song, most embarrassing moment, etc. Gosh, do you think I could get a job with TMZ?
On the other hand, I wouldn't put Katie Couric on the same level with Tom Brokaw or Harry Reasoner. But she's OK at what she does, and waaaay more professional, experience, knowledgeable and serious than a TMZ bozo.

25. I find it amusing that some of my favorite people (successful, decent, clean-living, respectful) are the very people that TMZ loves to trash. If Katie had size D's and a few tats and pierciings and got drunk at clubs, you would love her. Where in the world did Harvey find you people? Keep up the good work, you might be able to move on up to the National Enquirer some day.

29. This is a situation where both people did well. Your guy asked a bold question and she answered it and then gave him credit for having asked it. Yes, she seemed slightly smug, but she would have come across as even more hoity toity if she hadn't spoken at all.
