Beauty
Bernadette Peters: Good Genes or Good Docs?

Film, television and stage star Bernadette Peters has been acting and singing professionally since she was ten-years-old -- which from the looks of it was only a few years ago!

46.

She's pretty..in a "different" kind of way

47. The Longest Yard? Uh, Sunblock, you do realize that in that film (from the early 70s, not the 80s, by the way) she was playing a wildly exaggerated comedic character part? Think Madeline Kahn in Young Frankenstein. You do realize that Bernadette Peters never actually walked around in real life with a foothigh beehive hairdo and overdone backwoods makeup, right?

48. She's obviously having good sex. It's all in the proteins.

49. This is hands down one of the most beautiful women of our time - though her external beauty is inferior to her internal beauty (please note her tireless campaign for shelter animals along with many other causes through the years), but at 60 I think she looks more ravishing than ever - simply gorgeous. Lucky the man that is with her.

50. She's had to have SOME work done. Not sure what, or when, but certainly a little something. She must share the same doctor as Swoosie Kurtz and Katherine Helmond. HUGE differences from their earlier
acting days, but totally natural looking. They looked way too old before their time and deserved the amazing touch ups they got!

51. I remember watching her on Will & Grace. She played Karens sister. She looked great the and still does. She was funny in the episode too!

52. Who cares if she had work done or not? She looks FABULOUS!!!! She is talented, seems down-to-earth and FUNNY --remember her in The Jerk w/Steve Martin? Classic.

53. No sun...that is the key

54. She looks absolutely fantastic. I think genes play a big part but if there is a doctor involved I want his/her name. Oh and while we're at it can we find out what skin care products she uses, her diet and exercise regimen and anything else that may be relevant. Get on it TMZ.

55. She is breathtaking. I say she has very good genes, but if she ever had any work done then its hard to tell. She is just as lovely as can be.

58. She used to turn my crank when I was in high school. After looking at this recent pic, nothing has changed. No one stays young and beautiful forever. But some stay beautiful forever and this lady is living proof.

59. I didn't say The Longest Yard was from the 80s, actually it was made in 1974. But does it really matter I wasn't talking about her stupid hairdo in that movie because I knew that was over the top, but her facial features alone. I really don't think she was pretty in those days. Something changed (surgery?) and she started looking better when she was with Steve Martin.

BTW, beauty is subjective, in the eye of the beholder et al. As Dan said, she's pretty (I say cute) in a quirky kind of way, but no way in hell is she a "great beauty." Now as you can (hopefully) see by how long it took for me to respond (although I don't know why I'm bothering) to your post--I have a life. I suggest you get one.

Also, to the person who said looks and/or aging has nothing to do with genetics--not true. Stick a fork in it, I'm done!

60. I think a bit of both. But WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I look that good when I'm 60. Heck, there are days when I look like 80 rather than 38........the odds are against me LOL

She's a perfect example that subtle is the keyword here.......eat your heart out Priscilla!
