Mickey Doesn't Wear Turbans!

Mouse ears don't grow on turbans, according to a Sikh trumpeter who says he got negged for a job by Disney because of his religious headgear -- and facial hair.

In his suit, Sukhbir Channa says when he applied for a job at Disney World in 2006, he was told his turban, beard, and long hair didn't conform to the "Disney look." Here's the goofy part: just a few months before, in 2005, he says he marched as a toy soldier in a Disney parade with no problems-- but then his turban was hidden by a big toy soldier hat.

Disney tells TMZ that Channa's claim is "without merit."

78. Disney has been dealing with this issue for a long time.....but the lawsuits have been thrown out. Disney is classified as being in the entertainment industy. The people they hire are playing a role, thus they need to look the part. Its not discrimination at all......its based on if you are right for the part or not.....that is why he played the part of a toy soilder. He LOOKED the part and the religous headgear was hidden under a military style hat.

79. I understand the need for acceptance of people of faith. What I don't understand is why this is such a big issue. Facial hair is generally frowned on in the entertainment industry due to the lack of hygene. I personally get really upset if I get hair in my food. Disney doesn't need to hire anyone. Its a private company they can hire or not based on any criterial except those protected by the bill of rights. It does not say that you have to hire someone just that you can't say you don't want to based on those reasons. Maybe there was something else that screamed no, like the attitude. Disney takes a special personality that not every on can exhibit.

They only come here to take everything america has to offer, and to send money home to their families.

Immigrants are kinda dumb, but they get a lot of advantages here, and they hold their european, or muslim values close.

They come here and spread their seed.

88. It's no secret that Disney has very strict standards. Hell, they didn't allow male guests with long hair in the park for how long??? Not all jobs are universal. It's like a one legged midget applying to be a firefighter. Sad thing is, he'll probably win the lawsuit.

89. let me explain why this guy should shut up. yo go Disney.... when i was younger i lived in Canada, these sihks are pricks, when they wanted to join the Police force in Toronto they complained about the same thing, so what did they do? they put a badge on their turbin, also sihk kids brought knives to school around their necks because they said it was part of their religion.... enough is enough with this crap.I am very proud of Disney for standing up. Most Americans have no idea about other religious beliefs and if they did america would view things differently and would understand the war in a different point of view.
