Billy Ray Cyrus just won't stop slinging the smelly stuff at Annie Leibovitz and Vanity Fair over those saucy Miley shots -- comparing the situation to "stomping in poop."
Of course, when "Today's" Meredith Vieira asked him where the hell he was when the infamous shot was taken, he apparently had more important things to do than look after his baby.

Annie Leibowitz ia aworld respeceted photographer and is resepcted for her work. She takes pics of them all from celebs du jour, real entertainers, heads of state, and royalty. She is cutting edge and does some racy pics too. IT all depends on the subject and what they want and do not want. Annie did not trick, throw Miley under the bus, or anything else. Billy Ray needs to get his story straight. The subjects, always have press people, managers, handlers ,etc. TELL WHAT THEY WANT AND DO NOT WANT. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON THE SET or place where Annie is take pics . MILEY Corporation goofed. HER publicist should have not okayed this photo from the beginning and when Annie ASKS MS. or MR. PUBLICIST if that would okay, that publist should HAVE SAID NO. Annie is not that powerful. ANYWAY THIS IS ANOLD SUBJECT. Billy Ray should have left this subject dead where it was.

63. Please people, get over yourselves and get off the soapbox. The pics are georgeous. This was made into a publicity nightmare because of the Cyrus family. They should have simply told everyone, "if you don't like it, don't buy it". The family repeatedly denying they were not aware of the pics made the situation much worse than it should have been. The girl looks great and the pic shows less a bathing suit would. Dad needs to stay off the TV and leave the matter alone. Quite honestly, I could care less if she showed her back in a picture. There are much worse peer models out there than her.

65. What in the world is the big deal. She has bare shoulders. She's not naked, get a grip. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of the pictures taken at that photo shoot. Kids are running around out in public in their bra and rear end hanging out, no one seems to object to that. Wearing a halter or tube top shows more than this. I'd wager 90% of you people who have teenagers and younger your kid is running around with pants and shorts with the crotch hanging down to their knee's and butt hanging out. Go look at your own kids before you start in on others.

66. While I certainly agree that there is plenty of blame to go around from the publicist to Miley herself, the photographer can certainly take a share of the blame. The photographer - any photographer - is never just an innocent bystander at any shoot letting other people call all the shots. He/she is the head honcho who has a vision of what he wants to do before he ever steps into the studio. The session can progress into other directions based on what he and other people want, but the photographer is the one setting up and encouraging whatever shot is being done. He could have stepped up at any time and said he wouldn't take such suggestive shots of a 15 year old girl. Clearly he didn't.

67. I looked at my kids and teens every day, and there is no way they were or are going out in public dressed like that. In fact, I don't know many parents who approve of that kind of dress. Perhaps we expect and want better for our kids than what that kind of dress is saying to the world - and it *is* saying something to the world. The image that you're describing is not an image that I wanted to give as a teen or that I want my teens to give. I thought better of myself, and I think better of them - and I hope they think better of themselves.

Annie Liebovitz is the gold standard of today's photographers and no one can (well, the religious zealots can) construe those photos as anything remotely filthy, sexual, or otherwise obscene or indecent. It is absolutely ridiculous that it was a scandal in the first place. Second, the pics were pre-approved as they were trying to break her thru to a more grown up audience and it back-fired on them! Now, Billy Ray Cyrus needs to shut up about it and I hope that every LEGITIMATE photographer out there for all the legitimate fashion and style magazines refuse to take another Miley Cyrus photograph until the entire Cyrus family makes a public apology to Ms. Leibovitz and accepts responsibility for the photo shoot. And people need to stop being so dang uptight about a girl's bare back!!!!

69. This is So Typical of Many American White Parents, (and I'm white myself, by the way), but they just refuse to take any kind of responsibility for their own parenting, or lack there of. I'm NOT Saying Billy's a Bad Dad.. NOT at All! But, as with Many parents (especially white ones), when something goes wrong with their kids, it's always "Someone Else's Fault" and Not their own.

70. You guys spun this completely. I do NOT agree with the infamous shots that were taken and exposed, but Billy Raye's absence due to a prescheduled performance for our troops is certainly excusable. Miley has TWO parents, a publicist, a Grandmother, and all the others managing her career on hand at some point. He shares this responsibility primarily with his wife.
I am truely ill ove rthe sunglasses hbe wore during te interview. It made him seem like he was still chasing a childish dream. It also made him seems insincere and compeltely ridiculous to do a serious interview while wearing sunglasses. That does not help how he is perceived in the world.

73. I don't see how it was a big deal! I know she's supposed to be a role model and all but at least she's nt drinking and doing drugs and all of that! I see it as a photographer that was VERY well known for her work thought that it would be a good thing for her to do it.. her PUBLICIST that is supposed to tell her yeah this is good for your career or bad for it don't say a DAMN thing about it to her.. and on top of it all, if you think about it... Models do things like this all the time and it's considered "classy and artistic" so why judge her just cause of who she is?? get over it already she's learned from her mistake {like all teenagers do} and moved on.. if she can do it and it's HER life then you can all do it too!!

74. Not true. Since so many child actors were ripped off by their parents and or managers a few decades ago, there were laws put into place to ensure it would not happen again. By law, some of her money is used for expenses related to her career, some probably goes to her, and the bulk is put into trusts for her future.
