Can't drill for oil in Alaska to stop relying on foreign oil cause of some endangered animal . 110. Obama talks out of his ass. He's running for president and is just now announcing he's going to visit Iraq. He has no plan, just a so called "vision of hope". Don't we all have a vision of hope???? Give me a break. He has no foreign policy, no concept of what socialist healthcare will do to this country. You think we have problems now??? Wait until you have to wait in line 3 hours just to see a doctor. Take a look at Canada's healthcare, you have to wait months for surgery, only for it to get postponed again and again. Not enough rooms in hospitals, some patients are stuck in showers and have to be moved everytime someone needs to shower. Some communities have lotteries to allow people to have a general practitioner. Let's hope America's vision does NOT include Obama

Your assumation doesn't impress me. My mom had me at 16. Never was on ANY assistance programs. Worked multiple jobs ALONE to keep us afloat. I am the first in my family to attend college. Not one cent of Financial Aid from the government bc I guess we weren't 'poor' enough. I am a self-made, empowered young woman. I am a very successful corporate event planner and will be giving it all up to return to college now that I can afford it. The new wave of voters in this country has been 'forged by the fire' like I have been. I pay attention to make it better for the next generation. So PLEASE don't assume that bc I point out that a majority of Repubs have $$, that I have nothing and am mooching off the system. The only thing the gov't gets from me is my taxes. And I am far from a sheep, honey.

As a citizen of the rest of the world, I find the division amongst the American public that is clearly apparent in this blog stream to be a truly depressing, worrying and a potentially dangerous outcome to the despicable, heinous crimes of 9/11. What could have been a uniting force for your nation in a way not seen since your War of Independence, has now divided you into a rabble of shouters that have been spoon-fed fear poilitics to the point where even Barack Obama's middle becomes an issue (truly sad).
If you could extract yourselves for 1 minute from your own rectums for even 1 minute, and actually took a look around the world from a point of view other than your own, then perhaps, just perhaps, you wouldn't have turned yourselves from a nation the world respected & loved (once we've seen through the fog of your OTT patriotism) to OFFICIALLY the most hated on the planet.
Jealousy is a reason usually used by "freedom lovin' American" to justify the hatred, but how this can be directed at Europeans is a mystery.
You are in a hell of a mess, created by your greed and a misguided thirst for revenge. Afghanistan needed the effort, Iraq was a total sham, an oil hunt, a reason to position yourselves so that you can contiue to run 6 litre engines in poorly made vehicles.
I only hope you look at yourselves one day, sort out this dreadful destruction of your once fantastic reputation, and the rest of Western Society at least can be proud to have you as a friend once again.
Until then, we cringe in embarressment at comments such as "if it wasn't for Bush, American women would be wearing Burkas (correct spelling)".
