31. Can I please just say that I'm soooo tired of people thinking that in Canada we say "aboot?" Because we don't.

33. I grew up in Seattle and like Canada a lot, but seriously, you do say Abooot. I hear it in hockey interviews. I was watching a show on cable called X Weighted that is from Vancouver and the host DOES say Aboot!! But who cares anyway...

35. I'm a Canadian living in the States and if you guys say "aboot" one more time I'm going to start complaining about Americans who say li-berry (library), vet-in-arian (veterinarian), de-teer-e-ate (deteriorate), and so on. I won't even get into the mumblers!

37. I'm from Canada, while we don't exactly say 'ABOOT' we do say 'about' a bit different than Americans. They say a-BOW-t (as in taking a bow) and we say a-BOUT (as in a bout of flu).
Some Canadians here can't take a joke! Who CARES that people think we say aboot?
Mmmkay well it's breakfast time, I'm going to go load up the huskies and find some caribou. Good eating!

39. BTW, I was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, and have been living in
NYC for 15 years, we Canadiana do not say ABOOT!!!! I'm so tired of
people asking me to pronounce "A.B.O.U.T." I won't even get started
on American English, your pronounciation, and your grammar.
And stop trying to use "eh", because Americans just have no idea in
which context to use it.
Don't know who this guy is either, but I'm sure that after this post
many more people will.

40. Why are most of the Canadians posting so angry? So what if this guy isn't famous. The pap knew who he was and asked him some questions.
It also seems as if some of the posts are angry at the fact that this happened in America, PPPPPlllleeeeeaaaazzzzeeeee. Just as some posted... most Americans think this or we don't all say that. You are stereotyping yourselves, just as you have anyone from the US. Not everyone in this country thinks those things of Canada or the people living there. So chill peeps, no one is picking on you.

41. Who is this guy??? Didn't that show die a quick and slow death despite all of the government taxcredits and other hand outs?
Sorry TMZ, but nice try - obviously you didn't have enough to fill your show and resorted to this. He's NOT famous in Canada... he's just another actor.

42. I don't think that saying that he's from Canada so he still has a lot to learn constitutes as a compliment to Canadians. How we as Canadians do or don't pronounce a word is no difference to me. After all I don't say aks instead of ask like most Americans I know. BUT to say that Canadians have a lot to learn tells me that the American who wrote that garbage believes that he or she is superior to the Canadians that were watching. The world has the impression that the USA is an arrogant, uneducated country because of generalizations like that. Not that you all are, just that it's the impression that has been given...
