17. He cheated the Ronettes out of royalties. Darlene Love had to go after him too. In Ronnie Spector's book early on Spector takes her and her sisters out to eat a really nice meal and then makes THEM foot the bill. For a millionaire, she observed, Spector really could be a cheap person.

He is trying to sue Shapiro who helped him out, most likely to recoup some dough to get him through Spector II.
He has a habit of not paying lawyers either.

20. I think the new trial begins in September. The hotel people should be glad he didn't shoot them in the mouth when they made him mad. I try to hold out hope for a jury with some brains and reasoning for this trial but it is LA and he is famous so I don't feel like he'll pay for murdering Lana Clarkson because she wanted to go home before he was ready to let her.

Hey - Phil Spector can now sue TMZ & Harvey for posting his Credit Card Account #, Home Address & Phone Number & use that "settlement" to pay for both his outstanding Hotel Bill & a set of new Lawyers for Round #2 of his Homicide Trial. (Since he Fired every lawyer from his First Trial)

30. Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites must retain the most incompetent business Executive's.

What were they thinking allowing Phil Spector to run up a "tab" for several hotel suites for his team of lawyers & expert witnesses when the guy was facing a "Life-Sentence" in state prison & would've been taken directly into custody on Verdict-Day along with his Lawyers checking-out if he was convicted ??

At the very least, Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites should've required collateral from Phil Spector with the understanding that on the last day of occupancy, a discounted rate would be applied due to the long-term stay.

Doesn't sound like these Exec's had their MBA Hats on while making this decision.
