Hotel Says Spector Stiffed Them

Phil SpectorAn L.A. hotel is suing Phil Spector, his wife Rachelle and his agent, claiming they walked out on their more than $100k hotel bill during his murder trial.

In the suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites says they reserved rooms for the music producer's lawyers and expert witnesses during the trial. After seven months of trial, the hotel alleges, Spector had racked up a bill to the tune of more than $104,000.

The hotel says when they sent a letter demanding to get paid, Spector refused to pay, instead demanding a serious discount.

46. Just the same old story about the rich, the spoiled and the ugly.
I don't know what's worse, having to look at his picture,
or Rachelle's. She's definitely no beauty queen; she looks like a cross between ancient Joan Rivers, and tabloid queen Anita Talbert. He looks like a cross between the poster boy for www.awfulplasticsurgery.com and the Creature from the Blue Lagoon.

There's a saying I recall, if you're ugly on the inside, you're ugly on the outside. They are guilty on both counts.

47. Little miss Rachelle once claimed she made $90 K a year. So the little douche bag should cough up the monies if she has any credibility which I doubt.

Word to Phil: time to take away the little baby's toys. God knows she's sinking you father in debt than you already are!

48. And to think that Spector had to co- habitate in a hotel room with HER for nearly 7 months. Criminy Cripes, it's amazing HE survived!

I doubt the Westin will ever see a red cent....he'll find a way out of it somehow...he always seems to

49. They obviously thought the service was good enough and everything was to their liking, why else would they have stayed for the entire duration of the trial?

Phil showers waiters and waitresses with big tips, but then stiffs the hotel that hosts his lawyers and their entourage? If he's happy enough to crash there for over half a year, then he should be grateful that the Westin catered to their every whim. I'm sure his lawyers had a comfy time in their heavenly beds.

Now every hotel in the country will put the Spectors on their blacklist. They are no longer destined for Westin..
at least the Bates Motel won't turn ever them away.

50. Hey Chelle! Daddy-o is goin' broke fast, you should get out of this pretend game of house with him pronto, and save your own skin, honey!

You have no future with this man, because he's of the past.

Now Phil, honey, you should pay your bills, on time, like the rest of us have to.

May the Lord bless Lana!

51. There have been many good observations I've read here, but Comment #41 speaks to me the most. Why no one has really investigated this sham of a union, I fail to comprehend. If you visit www.michelleblaine.com she had credibility bein gthat she worked for Spector for many years as his assistant. He asked her to marry him first but she turned him down so he asked next-in-line Rachelle Spector. In Blaine's older posts she mentions the fact that they sleep in seperate wings of the castle, Rachelle herself admitted to never sleeping with Spector calling him 'creepy'. Why TMZ hasn't caught her in the act with some other company other than Spector is beyond me.

There is a whole discussion going on there right now about this very incident.

I just now it all sounds quite convincing but it also would be nice to have good solid proof their marriage is a sham. It would point out Spector's character flaws bigtime and perhaps be a help to the Prosecution.

52. Some people just don't know how good they got it in life and they are spoiled to the core and when things don't go their
way they behave like babies.

53. Hey Phil! Don't ask for a discount after the fact! Pay up! You owe it! by the way, get your fake wife to pay up too!

54. This story is all too common yet true. I don't see how this story raises any new eyebrows. Once a cheapie, always a cheapie.
Phil & Rochelle both sound like ingrates!

55. Can't believe that the Westin didn't know what they were in for when they first allowed the Spectors and their posse
to invade. The track record of stiffing speaks for itself, as others have pointed it out here.

Aside from that, I know I have to pay my landlord on time, all the time, not a moment too late, or I am outta here. I guess life definitely is different when you're poor vs. rich. I guess it's easier when you are loaded (I don't mean with a gun, but with $) to never have to take responsibility for your actions, or your inactions.

You never have to really grow up.

56. In retrospect, Mr. Spector's been one fortunate guy with one blessed life many of us guys could only dream of. Chics on each arm, $$$ in the bank, hits on the radio, one bootylicious wife back in the day. (Ronnie),
He even lives in a castle, for Chrissakes. But after the murder charge, his reputation being forever tarnished,
having to sue Shapiro his former attorney, living with a lady who is in it solely for the dough and now this Hotel mess, I wouldn't trade places with him for the world! Would you?

57. I'm a young friend of Phillip's. (Out of loyalty to him I will not sign my name, but he knows who this is). Conversations with him have helped me grow positively as a person. He knows, I will always be his friend.
Your hateful and inaccurate comments are not grounded in the truth. Have you ever even talked with him yourselves? How can you hate someone you've never even spoken with? It's called prejudice. 'Nuff said!

A Good Person

58. To "A Good Person",

To answer your question, YES, I have spoken with him and I've known him almost all my life. How long have you known him?

To be honest, I can't fault anyone for their comments as harsh as some may be, some describe him pretty well.

Have you ever talked to his prior wives, or his kids. They were all cheated out of everything with the exception of his daughter. His wives were treated badly and his sons ignored all their lives when not locked in their rooms for the night.

Yeah, he's a great guy, I can tell.

When all this is done, he will leave nothing to no one except his new wife who will get all the bills. Now that's love.

59. Before you ask, I've known him for over 35 years.

60. Hey Max,
Granted, I don't think very highly of PS myself, but sounds like PS did right by this person at least---regardless of how long he/she has known him, and I myself can't bash that. More power to you, 'Good Person' for sticking up for your friend! (I might not agree with your choice of person to befriend, but if I were in his shoes I'd be grateful to have a loyal friend like that!) PS-Max, just curious- if you have so many negative things to say about PS, then why did you continue to know him for 35 years? If I had such a low opinion of someone, I'd stay the hell away, bro! JMHO!!
