Political leaders from both sides of the aisle turned up for Tim Russert's funeral at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown today.
Hill, Bill and Bob Dole ('memba him?) were among the Beltway heavyweights who came to pay their respects.

It's a funeral, people mourning, why are they smiling?! No, its not time for your close up. Show the Clintons a camera and they light up like its Christmas.
Hilary must think she's still on the campaign trail. I am sure she was stumping for votes between eulogies.
Hillary is smiling 'cause she wished Russert and everyone else from MSNBC dead.
Biker that's priceless!
But my thought was the "Yogi Berra Yogi-ism" (as per the words of Luke Russert) that is was "like deja vu all over again". Remember the smiling Bill Clinton at Ron Brown's funeral?
Geeze, I haven't watched so much death coverage since Princess Diana.
Wonder if Harvey & his hubby were there....after all these are the people that TMZ make their money off.....
TIM RUSSERT WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A FORMER JIMMY CARTER / BILL CLINTON --PR PERSON.
HE WAS ALWAYS BIAS TOWARD THE LIBERALS AND WAS NEVER FAIR OR BALANCED IN HIS LEFT-WING OPINIONS !
"GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH ! "
Clinton in 2012?
Clinton in...NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I'm a Democrat.
I am so sick of the Clinton's shameless mugging for the camera -- they are as bad as Jessie Jackson! Honey, your 15 minutes were up 6 months ago. Go back to your house -- you don't really have a home.
The morons shooting that event do not even know how to properly address elected officials! Instead of " Hi Bill", "Hello Hillary", or how are you "Miss Condi", try Good afternoon President Clinton, Senator Clinton, and Madam Secretary.
You guys have no class at all.
What is wrong with people on this website?
You see the Clintons smiling so you think the worst of them? Are you people twelve years old? Not that you can even compare to them, but it's the most realistic age I can think of. Stop spreading the hate and come back down to Earth. I'm sure the photographers and camera men were smiling too. It's called being polite you pratts.
#10 - that was my reaction - these idiot photographers don't have any idea how to address a former president of the United States with respect. I guess it's not their fault, the chosen 'career' of running around hounding people, jamming a camera in their face doesn't exactly require a high education, or intellect. It was still a little shocking to hear him addressing high public officials in such an informal and disrespectful way. I-D-I-O-T!!
The death coverage of Russert may have gone overboard, but I think there are many people, myself included, who feel very sad about losing him and have liked watching the tributes. I disagree with a lot of these posts - I think he was a fair reporter. I enjoyed watching Meet the Press and I relied on his analysis during the election process, but more than that, I think he led an exemplary life - he didn't just talk the talk - he walked the walk - and in today's hypocritical word of the famous, sadly, I think that's rare. He loved his dad and he loved his son even more. Rest in Peace, Tim Russert - you'll be missed.
#7 and #12, you have no idea what you are even talking about. It's ridic! Whenever Tim finished his news duties, he devoted the majority of his free time to others in need- including friends, family and colleagues- SOME you even see on tv daily. How is that not noble enough to smile a little bit and celebrate his life? I mean look how courageous his son Luke is in all of this.

Outside NBC studios there was a tremendous amount of bouquets resting indicating the incredible loss. Tim Russert was an extraordinary journalist who brought forth brilliant ideas to the masses (including coining the terms âRED STATES/BLUE STATESâ -in an effort to better educate folks on the often difficult to follow political lingo) and posing honest fair questions to sometimes âquestionableâ people in high posts, all the while maintaining his dignity and keeping us engaged. He was always pleasant, entertaining, and at times humorous.
Because he touched so many people, indeed upcoming and (future) political elections as well as Sunday mornings will NEVER be the same.
Sure, it's wrong for the Clintons and anyone else to be smiling, but WHY ARE YOU THERE? It's a funeral, not Saturday night at Hyde or something. Show some respect. God.
