We're told new daddy Casey Aldridge was so nervous the first time he held his daughter, he told the family he was scared he'd drop her!

TMZ spies say that Casey and Mama Lynne were the only ones in the OR when Maddie was born -- Brit Brit waited outside anxiously. We hear that the family is thrilled that baby Maddie is "happy, healthy and gorgeous" and our source says the family is closer than ever.

Jamie Lynn is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days, but big sis is already back at the house with her fast food fix.

42. Anyone who compares a teen now having a baby to some of our younger parents' having our generation is a complete IDIOT. Times have changed, and less than 100 years ago people used to raise children at the age of 14!!! Our parents actually had a lot more common sense than our generation, most teen parents now probably spend more time on myspace than taking care of their children. In studying psychology I have found research which shows that children raised by teens in America turn our much worse (basically, are less responsible and more likely to end up in prison and use drugs) than children with more mature parents. Early childhood is the most critical time for learning about the world, and having an idiot mother like J.L means that her daughter is at a huge disadvantage. Our generation is both spoiled AND stupid! Some of our parents struggled to go to school when women weren't even allowed to learn math and science, and now our generation skips class because they would rather hang out with their stupid friends. If I were ruler of the world I would NEVER allow someone too stupid to use a condom and pills to raise another human being. If everyone waited until they were at LEAST 21 to have children this world would be a MUCH better place. I wish her the worst, she needs to suffer for being such an idiot.

43. Number 41, you are sick. I was married and had my son at 17 and it worked out. We are still married 15 years later. Why the hell would you say that it is too bad the baby survived? They are capable of supporting and loving their baby.

44. This is really sick. If your teenage daughter is going to get knocked up at 16 you should have the common decency to not flaunt it. I mean birth is something to rejoice yes but when it's a child who is giving birth a mother should have the decency to be embarrassed about doing such a bad job of parenting. I love the advances in technology and such but at times I so long for the old days. You know, the days when people had some sense of morality. Remember what that is, morality?
Nice role models these Spears girls are for Americas youth.
