Gunman Pops Off Near Johnny Depp Set

Johnny Depp's new gangster flick almost became a bit too real.

Chicago police tell us a juvenile was pinched for allegedly firing a weapon outside a car on the 1300 block of W 19th Street in Chicago around 12:30 AM on Friday. Sources say the location is close to the South Side set of "Public Enemies." The kid was charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon.

Depp arrived on set 30 minutes after the shooting, according to the Chicago Tribune.

A call to Depp's rep has not been returned.

18. Tim, I don't know where you live but at this latitude at this time of year, it isn't always dark by 9:30, 10 pm. And Saturday was the summer solstice, the shortest night of the year.

Mike, clearly you know nothing of acting if you think Johnny Depp always plays the same character. He hasn't played the same character in any movie except the Pirates trilogy. If you want an actor who always played the same character, look at Charlton Heston. Even John Wayne who was best known for his cowboy movies played the occasional non-cowboy style character in movies that were not Westerns. Check out "The Quiet Man" if you don't believe me.

....REALLY?? ALL OF CHICAGO IS VIOLENT??? do you live here??? you sound like you don't for if you DID you would know that the violence is in the PARTS of Chicago, CERTAIN AREAS... no one is popping off guns on the Gold Coast, all that mess is on the west side in the projects, the far east side where all the cholos are and the BAD PARTS of the south side, but far downtown, past the south loop, Chicago is glamorous & wealthy.
