R.I.P.
F***, George Carlin's Dead

George CarlinBust out those seven words, it's time for a tribute. Legendary comedian George Carlin has died.

The 71-year-old Carlin died around 6:00 PM PT this evening at an L.A. hospital after being admitted earlier in the afternoon for chest pains.

A battle over his comedy -- namely his "Filthy Words" routine -- went all the way to the Supreme Court.

Death
Life is something we should appreciate and adore
because there comes a time in life our services are
not needed anymore.

A time in life when we are the next step closer,
and if you have done what He asked, the struggle is over.

A time when one passes from this world to another--
a time when we lose a family member, friend or lover.
This has been happening long before our existence,
but some think it's a joke until they are convinced.

A time in life that we rejoice and have sorrow, so we
must change our wicked ways,
because that time can come tomorrow.

To have one pass away can leave you emotionally scarred,
but you must maintain your composure and keep
your faith in God.

So we must stop the hate and seek forgiveness for our sins,
because whether you know it or not,
death is what we must face in the end.

69. #25, you fail to understand that Mr. Carlin was a master of language, that he was a gifted observer of the human condition, and that he was very, very funny. Perhaps you should get out more; i.e., get away from Texas.

70. He's not resting in peace. He's not resting at all. He's dead! He's not making God laugh in heaven. There's no God, no heaven. Fantastical thinking is a disservice to his memory. Yes, he was very funny, but what made him great was that his comedy was 100% reality, not a sugar coated eulogy sung by angels.

72. Comic genius...Legend...Blah blah blah. I hate the thought of all the "tributes" we'll have to suffer through until someone more famous dies. If he was right about God, he died just like every other worm, possum, and starving Ethiopian. His death is just a natural part of our meaningless existence. If he was wrong about God, he's telling his dirty words to Satan. What's there to honor?

73. See, now the one about the "anti-Christian pig croaked". Ironically, that's the comment George would like among all of these.
