Celebrity Justice
Hanks Suit Gets Forrest Dumped!

Tom Hanks just found out that lawsuits aren't like film shoots -- you can't redo 'em if you don't like how they turned out.

TMZ has learned that an Idaho judge just tossed out Tom and wife Rita's attempt to get $2.5 million from an Idaho contractor they say screwed up the construction of their $10 million Sun Valley home back in 2002. Problem is -- they already took the contractor to arbitration in 2003 over the dispute and lost, to the tune of $10 million.

The Hanks' rep Leslee Dart tells us "Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson intend to appeal the judge's decision. This is not a petty dispute where Tom and Rita are trying to squeeze money out of a small, local contractor. There are serious design and construction problems that should never have happened, but did, and now need to be fixed."

17. WAH, WAH, WAH.

With Rita in the picture, could there be any doubt that unreasonable, demanding behavior and resultant acrimony is involved? Just ask the people who have the total misfortune of having to deal with "Reeta" at Fred Segal, when this temper tantrum queen doesn't get her way.

And let's be honest, shall we? The ONLY reason this marginally talented, arrogant, self-centered, spoiled, pushy broad has any power is because of her husband, and I pity whoever is stuck having to serve her and her never ending list of demands.

WHAT A TYPICAL PHONY LIBERAL. I'm sure she can't wait to vote for B.Hussein Obama, since she's all for "equality" and "the people" and all

18. Anyone supporting Tom and Rita here is MISSING THE POINT. In fact, if you're supporting them out of "star love", then you've fallen for the EXACT trick they wanted you to. Namely, they don't want justice, they wanted CELEBRITY Justice. The whole POINT of the article is they HAD their day in court...and they LOST. The matter was settled in arbitration meaning that whatever was said in that closed door meeting, either a judge or a Federal Arbitrator heard the facts and then decided that the Contractor HAD done his job right. That's WHY the article noted they lost to the tune of $10 million the first time around. And THAT'S the telling sentence. As other celeb watchers have noted, what it likely means is that Rita changed her mind over things, but then expected the contractor to eat millions in cost overruns just because of "who" they were. So Good for the contractor holding his ground. At this point, I bet he probably feels putting up with Rita wasn't worth the $10 million!

20. I stand behind Tom and Rita! We all know this case is not about the money, it’s about right from wrong. Tom and Rita could buy whose knows how many house for that price. But it you notice they went from 10 million to 2.5 million and still are NOT giving up. Sounds to me like they just want justice surived!
