Cops: Shaq Won't Get Heat in Miami

Minutes after an Arizona sheriff called for Shaquille O'Neal's badge over his n-bomb laced rap, the Diesel was already getting back-up from some of his other boys in blue.

According to a statement from Miami Beach Chief of Police Carlos Noriega, "Shaquille O'Neal is a member in good standing of the Miami Beach police Dept. He is a valuable asset to our organization and the city of Miami Beach."

Reps from the Los Angeles Port Authority, where he also serves as a reserve officer, had no comment.

33. First, let me say I don't feel sorry for Shaq. He should've known better especially holding a position like that when you are considered a role model.

That being said, I do find it funny that you can get stripped for doing a rap song (albeit a poor taste in rap songs) but you have to have a freakin' act of Congress to get cops off the streets that beat you with nightsticks and taser you near to death! And don't give me the old "if you aren't guilty, you have nothing to worry about" line because there are plenty of people (black and white) that have been railroaded by the police.

Not to get off topic, I just find this almost a non-story.

34. Who in the hell cares about what a cop does in his off time? And by the way? Why would Shack,with all his million and millions want to be a cop for ayhow.I makes no sense! Hes not used too cashing checks as small as a cops!
