17. It's great that Heather is able to determine when to seek help. It seems Heather has been through a lot concerning trying to shield her daughter Ava from all the hoopla. Denise is on the verge of snapping. You can see it. She doesn't even try to shield her children, she throws them in the middle of it all!

Whoa. Slow down a minute. Depression is no respecter of money or fame, youth or education. It is an equal-opportunity hellhound. It can ride with you on a skateboard or in a Rolls Royce.

It has nothing to do with boo-hooing about breaking a fingernail. It is caused by an imbalance in the brain. People who "have everything" can still be depressed. Just because she is "rich" doesn't mean that she is immune. The fact that she is ill also has nothing to do with the economy or people having their homes foreclosed.

There's always someone who has more money, has a bigger house, a better education, etc. But it seems a bit pointless to rail against someone's luck when it has nothing to do with your personal position or the nation's economy.

27. #21 AND #23.. Depression is a disease. It is a chemical imbalance in the brain. I have had bouts of it of and on since I was 11 and i do the best I can. It has nothing to do with how much money you have, how old you are, or how attractive you are. It can be debillitating for many who suffer from it. The worst is when people tell me " to snap out of it" or "gee, look at so and so and how bad they are,, you should feel blessed. Comments like that are counter productive and tend to make things worse. Hopefully Heather will get a grip on it and anyone else on this bored who knows what it is like.
