I-Man -- I Was Just Being "Sarcastic"

Don Imus just pulled out the S-card -- sarcasm -- to defend himself against charges that he's a straight-up racist.

On his radio show this morning, he said he was just trying to "make a sarcastic point" when he asked yesterday, about arrest-happy NFL player Pacman Jones, "What color is he?" As Imus tried to explain, "What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason. I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times."

As the I-man himself put it: There you go. Now we know.

5. He had to go through *kiss the black man's ass* classes. Now he feels like he has to defend the blacks so he found what he thought was the best opportunity to work it into a conversation. So it didn't work out so well. So what, move on.

6. You're taking it out of context..... the whole conversation was about blacks being targeted. His comment was agreeing that blacks are targets!! Can't even say that without the PC police going nuts!?!?

7. What have we started? Absolutely every comment is scrutinized. Its crazy. I accept it as an off-hand remark by a disk jockey. Let it go!

9. According to another source, apparently the Rev Al Sharpton will "review" the details and offer his opinion. Who the F is HE??? Grow thicker skin and worry about the REAL issues in your community like black on black crime, absent fathers, and illiteracy to name a few. Same old song and dance...whine whine whine...gimme gimme gimme! Go away!

11. Why we all can't just be equal. There is always a racial comments made about black people.Imus is wrong and something needs to be done about it.What if a black man got on the air and make a racial remark what would happen to him.We all need to come together and let color stay out.

12. Reverend Wright was rewarded for his hateful rants by being invited to speak at the NAACP. What happens to Imus? Sharpton baby sits him making sure he follows the black rules.

13. I didnt hear one comment from Al last week when a black youth attacked an old lady in Brooklyn while she was entering church! Why not Al??? Thank God this piece of crap was caught a few days later. This is what Al should look into in his own community, not this nonsense. What a waste of human life he is.

14. So in order to appease the Rev Al Sharpton, this douche has to brand every police person who's come in contact with this "Pacman" as a racist. Oh, the poor kid!

15. Sometimes the truth hurts. Black on Black crime is out of control! It's no secret. Just look at the statistics. The majority of honest earned tax dollars are spent taking care of black prisoners. Before anyone calls ME a racist. I'm black. I'm also educated and don't break the law! The only reason why people find Imus offensive is because they are blind to the truth about black crime.
