Lets Get This Party Started
Michelle -- No Beef with Heath Family

The buzz that Michelle Williams was ditching a big film premiere because she's PO'd at Heath Ledger's family? Not true.

So say her peeps, who are slamming reports that she is somehow upset about her daughter's inheritance –- and won't go to see the debut of Heath's film "The Dark Knight" as a result. "To say she is 'boycotting' due to a rift with Heath's family is absurd," says her rep.

Heath's family is coming to NYC to go to the premiere of "Dark Knight" on July 14, which will be about six months after his death.

Oprah Taken to the Cleansers

Look out Mickey D's: Oprah Winfrey is done with her 21-day vegan detox cleanse thingy.

O has been eating -– at least by the looks of it – like a bird for the last three weeks, and now she wants to booze baller-style. "I want some wine. Bordeaux 82. Just one glass at sunset," she wrote on her blog. But she managed to keep the faith.

"This has been exactly what we intended: enlightening," she wrote.

Philly Newsvixen's Co-Anchor Canned

Maybe they should just hire newsdroids at Philly's CBS affiliate.

Alycia Lane we all know about: She was fired earlier this year, and then just sued the station. Now, her co-anchor, Larry Mendte, just got the axe after getting probed by the FBI for allegedly hacking into Lane's computer, sending out photos, and leaking salacious stories about Alycia.

Mendte's lawyer says that he's cooperating with the feds.

Party Favors: LiLo Getting It Together? ... Common Courtesy Not Akademik for Ciara? ... Christina Milian Loves Them Boys

Lindsay Lohan is apparently a new woman on the set of her new flick "Labor Pains," showing up on time and acting like "a total pro," says the New York Post. ... A source tells us that Ciara and her entourage had booked spa treatments at the Akademiks and BET's Day of Luxury at the Oasis Spa Lounge before the BET Awards – but never showed and didn't bother to tell anyone. ... TMZ spies spotted Christina Milian dipping it low with the boys at WeHo's hottest Sunday night party, Tom Whitman's Size at Here lounge.

16. I think Go to Work needs to have a clue about what they are talking about. As a resident of Illinois I don't think our poor economy or lack of jobs has anything to do with our work ethic, but more so on the poor economy and amount of jobs that have left the rust belt state and cities in the state like all other old industrial states and cities in the midwest. Also, being from illinois I have to say i cant stand oprah either. As much as everyone worships the ground she walks on, I think she is fake and phoney. I love when she had a mom and daughter on her show talking about the horrible diamond industry in Africa and how people need to be aware of it more and oprah sat there "caring" with HUGE diamond studs in her ears. WHAT A JOKE SHE IS!!

17. To 'I hate Oprah'

I mentioned Chicago because Disappointed singled out that city in his/her rant. But, I stand by my comments about those who are able bodied that take handouts or expect it from our government or rich people (as Disappointed did). If the economy sucks where you are, Chicago or anywhere, MOVE! Pack you're crap up and get to a place where you can work and support yourselves. And dont give me crap about 'some people dont have anywhere to go'. Everyone has every inch of this country they can go. If you're taking it where you are, you can take it for a little while where you're going in order to get ON YOUR FEET. That's what these programs are for, temporarily helping people get back on track. They're not here for people that wont help themselves.

18. Oprah's audience is white middle class. If you notice there are very few black people in her audience. Her donations go mostly to Africa, just what the United States needs. In the US she gives to the black community. Her only focus when it comes to whites is finishing schools which are the last people that need her help. Only wealthy families use these schools. So what it comes down to is she is asking white middle class to give their money to the blacks.

19. Go To Work: I think your name should be Get a Brain...

you HAVE to be the ignorant person in the world and should just keep your mouth shut instead of giving advice about something you know nothing about.

20. I thought it was a picture of Michael Jackson! Oh, yeah. I hate Oprah too. Poser.

22. You're wrong "I hate Oprah", I do know about what it is I'm talking. You see, there was a time when I couldnt find a job in my area. I had a young son to feed, and there was NOTHING, unemployment was at an all time low. What'd I do? I packed up and moved to a better economic situation. And I did it without taking help from anyone but family. I could have collected government handouts, and stayed at home to raise my kid. But my sense of responsibility and my...WORK ETHIC..wouldnt allow that. Now, instead of hurling insults and names at me, why dont you come back with a VALID reason able bodied people shouldnt work, after all, you're disagreeing with my point...prove yours.

23. cb

Choose your heroes carefully, as Fin #17 stated Oprah's audience is indeed mostly White women, or as Spike Lee once said; "A Black person THAT popular with White America..? Something's wrong..."

Posted at 1:45PM on Jun 25th 2008 by does she care about YOU, cb?

24. Go To Work

You must rent because it's obvious you have no understanding of the market place right now. People can't just pick up and move, stop trying to simplify it.

25. You actually don't know what you are talking about because you started your whole argument passing judgement on people in Chicago wanting a handout. I think that people that are facing difficult times or a lose of a job should receive some backing or help from our so called wonderful government and telling them to get over it and move somewhere else is a ridiculous excuse for corporations or the government to not handle the unemployment issue or poverty issues in this country. Sorry i am not a closed minded, greedy capitalist pig where I don't care about helping others or don't believe in helping others that are in need.

26. I own my home, but that wont stop me from selling it and losing most of the equity in order to get a better paying job. One that feeds my family. Which would you rather, full bellies, or an empty house? Priorities change with the economic times, my dear, and if we're not flexible enough to change with them, we're sunk.

27. I don't know much about Oprah (I'm at work when her show is on and I'm not her accountant) and neither do most people except for what they hear second or third hand. I don't give a dayum about what she does with her money...it's her money. But most importantly why does anyone care that she has gained or lost weight? So she has money to hire chef's and trainers. Big whoop. That doesn't mean that she has to do that or follow what they say. I suppose no one here has ever slipped off a diet or blew off a work out. Must be really nice to be perfect.

28. This is why debates in blogs are pointless. No, I hate oprah, it didnt start with me judging people from Chicago, it started with Disappointed judging Oprah and wanting Oprah to give her money to needy Chicagoans. What do you think, should Oprah hand out all her money to the needy just because she has millions? And I never said people dont fall on hard times and need help now and again, I'm speaking specifically of people who are on these handout programs because they CAN be, not because they really need it. Too often in this country, people think they're entitled to welfare, or housing assistance, for as long as they want to be on it. THAT's what I find objectionable.

29. I know this is a celebrity gossip website but it does piss me off that TMZ is attacking Michelle Williams and Heath ledger's family in a statement I find hard to believe is true. Neither he nor his family ever struck me as the kind of people who were only about money. Heath was an actor for the "craft", not the "celebrity status" of being an actor. His family never cashed in on his fame in any manner. Even though Michelle and Heath were no longer together when he passed away, they seemed to treat her as his widow all the same. I would find it very hard to believe that they are not putting Heath's money aside for Matilda when she grows up. If this is just an ugly gossip story by TMZ or other agency, shame on you all. If it is true, it is very disappointing news about the Ledger Family. Mary-Kate Olsen-shmolsen. I see Michelle, and always will, as Heath's widow, even though they weren't married and were no longer together at the time of his death. Heath's heart was all about Matilda, no mistake there. Oh...and I hate Oprah. In the beginning she was great and related to her audience. Now all she relates to are the rich, famous, and powerful...and SHE SURE LIKES TO TELL OTHER PEOPLE HOW TO LIVE THEIR LIVES! she has no clue what real Americans have to struggle with on a daily basis. But, people should be working and not watching Oprah!! If you have that much time to watch TV and then make a practically illiterate rant against the show you just watched...you do need a job very badly! Plenty of people HAVE to start over in a new career, new location etc, every day in America. If you want/need something bad enough, you will do what you have to to get it. Home is where the heart is, not a physical location...and yes, I have 15 years left on my mortgage...but I'd move if I had to!!
