33. Is all the negativity against African-Americans necessary? No it is not. Those who feel "blacks" are this that and the other...get back on your horses and ride off into the damn sunset!! To each his own. I prefer to listen to R & B because that's what I like. I don't care for country music or rap. It's a choice, my choice. Anyone ever notice how ignorant racist white people become when challenged or feel threatened by an African-American? Let me just say, "some of my best friends are white"! And yes, I do clutch my purse tight when I see one of them coming, and yes I do lock my doors at the stoplight...ya never know what's gonna happen!!! LOL LOL

It's nothing more than a history lesson.
Black history as well as the other races you mentioned over-came adversity, and fought to be looked at as equal.
White history? Not something to be proud of.
So Black/Brown pride is tolerated because they were the oppressed, and never murdered/enslaved people because of skin color. But now-days, the last statement can be proven false. But can you honestly say you see more Black Panther symbols than Confederate Flags? Hell, even swastikas?
Just goes to show, Black/Brown pride is A HELLUVA lot more innocent/tolerated than White-Pride.

But in my eyes, pride is meant as appreciating your ancestors (your races past), along with several other things. Hope this clears some things up as well as my other post.

41. In the post about JLO and Marc Anthony, some of you referred to them as Spics. The post about Tim McGraw referred to him and his wife as white trash. I can only assume the people writing these negative posts are sitting in their penthouses having the maid or butler bring them another drink. IGNORANCE HAS NO COLOR! Thank GOD there is no race of purple people. The people on these award shows dress that way for the attention. If they wore jeans and tshirts, no one would give them a second look. Grow up.
