I don't particularly like these people but I don't know them either. I have seen people struggle with addictions and family issues and when they try to get better the family stuff usually works itself out.

I'm not God and have no reason to judge anyone. Isn't that against most of your religions? Judge not lest ye be judged?

As far as the name calling goes: You're parents seemed to have raised you perfectly well. Kudos to them. They raised children with perfect manners.
