138. Well, I see there has been a spectacular backlash against the pap and TMZ for their reporting of this incident. What I am having trouble understanding is how is it that all of these semi-literate folk posting hate messages know to come here? If you were so incredulous about what the pap where doing, you would not be on this site promoting and buying into it. If we all stopped looking at their pictures, websites and magazines then these poor folks would have to go back to Wal-Mart and take kids photos again rather then chasing the shots of celebrities that you all crave or you wouldn't be on here maligning them. Do not attack them for providing the very entertainment that you all are demanding by visiting sites like this and walking them on TV, internet, magazines and anywhere else they pop up.
Now, that being said, I am a little tired of the self-rightous attitude that they display when their rights are being infringed on, but not broken. The Malibu police doing what is right by keeping the peace are all of a sudden set upon by million dollar lawsuit picture takers. If you are going to do the job that the public has put the demand on, step up and be an adult and take responsiblity for the risk that is involved in that choice. Your rights are no more protected then those that you infringe on with your public demanded prying eye. If someone takes exception, or the police move you along, than that is part of the gig, suck it up princess.
These are my thoughts not yours!

139. We were going to take our 11 year old on a California Beach vacation, buy a couple of boogie boards and play in the ocean, and spend some of our hard earned cash in California. From what I am reading here, we will end up getting beat up? Maybe heading down for vacation isn't a good idea? Is Huntington Beach safe for visitors ?

140. #129 - Who the hell appointed you the distributor of basic human respect? First of all, don't try to come off as some kind of impartial open minded individual handing out respect unilaterally because you blew that out of the water the second you implied that there was something conditional about Blacks being treated as human beings.

Second of all, pull your head out of the sand or better yet far enough out of your colon to realize that no matter how much you want to deny it, there is a problem. In most of these uppity ass trust fund neighborhoods you couldn't even GATHER a similarly sized group of Black or Mexican youth without police presence dropping in posthaste. Five or six brothers or Mexican guys bailing around on a beach in Malibu or in a neighborhood in Beverly Hills, Palos Verdes, or Bel Air? Who're you fooling and how's that any different than the same group of Blacks or Mexicans walking a back road in Arkansas or Mississippi?

You fools get to watching Havoc and Bully too many times and think you've got something going on. Then you get snatched out of your car and curb stomped in the hood and you wanna press charges and call people animals. Kick rocks.

141. If they were Black or Latino this story would have been handled differently in the press. The news would have said "Latino and Black gang violence rampaged the liberal press today in the quiet community of Malibu". Because they vandalize the beach instead of the streets they are not considered gangsters? Because they don't have "traditional gang attire" or are of race that is not considered to have a gang problem. Give me a freaking break. Wow the hypocracy of America at its best.

142. Puhleeezzee! This is so ridiculous and blown out of proportion. MLO hard qualifies as a gang more like a bunch of grommets (young surfers) and preteens that live in Malibu who are looking for something to identify them socially as being from an elite area. The surfers were just a couple of surfers that got into a fight, it happens. Sure the paps are annoying but a couple of drinking surfers are hardly representative of the population (surfing and non) of Malibu. This story is blown way out of proportion. I myself am a MLO (Malibu Local) --not a gang member. My boyfriend surfs this area everyday and has for many years, he would never fight anyone unless forced to defend himself.

The truth is the city of Malibu is just looking for reasons to get rid of paps and stories like this only serve to give them more justification in enacting tougher laws. In other words -- TMz and X17 , you're doing your self in on this one. The paps are invasive and obnoxious. It's sad that Harvey turns a blind eye to some of the methods they use to "get the story" and tougher laws need to enacted EVERYWHERE! I, like most of Malibu ,don't like the methods the paps use which are a lot of times dangerous in traffic. Malibu is comprised of well educated individuals who respect the law and the rights of others and citizens of Malibu are more inclined to change the laws than fist fight.

143. hmm, I don't know - just because they are rich white punks doesn't mean they aren't a gang. just look at what happened in La Jolla with those dumb asses from La Jolla High who called them selves the "Bird Rock Crew" and killed that surfer (along with beating up plenty others). Whether or not they qualify as a gang by police or society's terms doesn't matter if they are laying their hands on others, destroying property, and intimidating people - gang or not they should be dealt with by the police.

It's a shame that the color of your skin along with lots of amoney a little fame could buy you. if this was anybody else, of any other race for both parties involved it be given more attention alot more media coverage and justice. But it must be nice to have a rich daddy in a white community.
