I could easily drown you if I wanted to while you were waiting for a wave and yeah I've been a lifeguard for over 25 years too, big woop. Bodybuilder to boot so whatever you probably wouldn't wanna tangle with me either. 1313 Oceanfront Walk is where the beatdown happened a couple years ago.

btw, hate to ruin your fantasy but I dont do the speedo thing... I'm mostly into bodysurfing and me and my bros have dealt with more than couple surf weinies who thought we were speedbumps too. They learned to keep a safe distance from us local Venice guys. We don't mess with nobody til they mess with us. ;)

If you are going to tell that story at least tell what really happened. The victim was very intoxicated and threw a drink in one of the faces of his attackers. The victim was thrown out of the bar and went home but on his way home he talked to the attackers on the phone continuing the fight. When he got home the attackers showed up at his house. The victim ran out his door rip off his shirt and hit one of the guys. This is what started the fist fight that killed him. He should have called the police and not ran out the door looking for a physical altercation. He did not deserve to die, no one does but you made him sound like an innocent victim in the events that happened that night.

80. I used to live in the SFV and when you try to go to local beaches like that they do harass people who arent locals. Now if I went by myself I had no problem , but when I went with a group I did. Just because they are not black and are rich does not mean they do not have the gang like mentality.

It seems that the overwhelming opinion is that the paps got what they deserved... everyone HATES the paps and TMZ.... yet all you knuckleheads are here reading this site every single day! If you hate it so much, why are you here????? Because personally, I don't hang out on web sites that I don't like. You don't see me spending 3 hours a day reading fruitcake recipe web sites.

So, if you are one of the haters on here.... just go somewhere else. You can go away mad, as long as you GO AWAY.

85. Everyone involved should go 24 hours without up dating their site. This would also effect magazines like US and shows that talk about celeb gossip. Those paps pictures are not just for TMZ or x17. They are for every single source that talk about celebrities from blogs, magazines, tv shows, news shows etc. The readers would freak out and not know what to do with themselves. Even celebrities read and watch this stuff. in fact the celebrities really don't complain much it's you twits that are.

90. For the record, people who don't live in or know anything about Malibu, MLO is a word phrase, I don't think anyone in Malibu every truly conceived it as a gang name.

The guys (in their 40s and 50s now) who came up with MLO and made shirts just ran with an idea. It stood for "Malibu Liberation Organization" as a play off the PLO acronym. If you don't know of the PLO just go to Wikipedia.

A second generation, my generation of now-thirty-somethings interpreted it as "Malibu Locals Only" and would write it on walls at local beach entryways, etc. and we would say it to surfers from other places when in a confronation or fight....once again, a slogan, not a gangname!

In my generation we had to go to high school in Santa Monica so we all know what real gangs are like and what it's like to fight them (or get jumped). Whether we grew up here filthy rich or dirt poor (like yours truly), none of us tried to be or even wanted to be gangsters. Just another group of kids who grew up surfing a "protectible" surfbreak in our hometown. Same as any other localized surfspot in the world.

The fact that MLO ever made it to the news media as some kind of gang is ridiculous, as well as anybody who would believe that Malibu kids THINK THEY ARE GANGSTERS because they don't. They just want to regulate disrespectful kooks from ruining a special place that has been preserved from the crowding and littering masses. Plenty of outsiders come in and surf, it seems as long as they have respect for the place they do just fine...though I'm sure some "innocent" people still get hassled from time to time.

In the 80s and early 90s my friends would beat people's asses just for walking in, even if they tried to be cool. They would kick their asses, break their boards, and turn them away. Not that it happened everyday but once in awhile it did. They would urinate and defecate on cars, slash tires, etc. it was really harsh. I always believed in only going off if there is a reason and have to say that nazi-style local enforcement is plain stupid.

BUT.....the paps are an exception to the rule, I hate to condone violence but they deserve every bad thing that happens to them while disrespecting the local people and the beach.

SO...

1) MLO never tried to be a gang

2) Most people in Malibu are just PEOPLE, many who come from blue collar working class backgrounds through generations here (though I admit it has become more and more hoity toity with newbs over the years, us longertime locals HATE that!)

3) Nobody is fighting over Matthew Mac except the Paps! They were confronted because they have no place above the mean high tide line at that private beach, and, they happen to be some of the most disrespectful pack of vermin kooks on the planet.

Most people here are not impressed with celebrity nor do we act as their bodyguards! They are just people too. Really many of us in my generation are disappointed because we are getting priced out of our community by all the super-rich! Once you grow up here you don't want to move to the valley just so you can buy a house, trust me! Would be nice if celebs did not want to live here! But what can you do, it's a hell of a nice place to rent and I would never live anywhere else in LA.

Anyway...I think it's time to go surfing at a particular beach, don't you wish you could? lol Ah you don't need to be rich to have a sense of entitlement lol :>P
