Supermodel Dies After Nine Story Plunge

A Kazakh supermodel who appeared on the cover of Vogue and Elle magazines fell to her death from the ninth floor of her apartment building in lower Manhattan yesterday afternoon.

Ruslana Korshunova, 20, was found on Water Street in the Financial District wearing jeans and a tank top, and witnesses, including one who spoke to diaday.com, say they heard a loud noise and then discovered that a body lay in the middle of the street. One witness tells TMZ that he originally thought the woman had been hit by a car.

Cops say they are investigating the incident.

49. Several months ago, on national tv, a young woman was interviewed, post suicide attempt.

She stated that she went to the other side, and was in the midst of people who had succeeded in their attempt. She further said that these spirits were walking in endless circles, constantly mumbling to themselves, and aware of no one else around them.

The young woman described an instant light coming from above, and a loud voice, proclaiming, IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?

She is now spreading the word about her experience.

God gives us life. It is He, who is to decide when we will depart this life.

52. Girls/women who try to subsist on a diet of coffee, cigarettes and lettuce leaves as they try to be unnaturally thin screw up their brain chemistry, big-time (lack of healthy fats) -- she may very well have been suicidally depressed w/distorted thinking due to this occpuational hazard of the beauty industry. Very sad no matter what the reason.

54. This is a good site with information. Notice the window she fell out of there is a roof below it how did she not land on that? Also her body landed horizontally to the building wouldn't it land vertically if she jumped? I could be wrong but it just makes more sense to me.

60. I feel for the girl and her family but the term Supermodel is so overused. Do TMZ and other media outlets choose to claim Supermodel to get more attention?
