Carnage in the TMZ

We've covered the nightlife in the Thirty Mile Zone for three years -- but sometimes the club scene goes terribly, terribly wrong.

Our cameras began rolling around 2:30 AM, moments after an unidentified woman was smashed into by an SUV outside of STK and left motionless in the street as the allegedly boozed up driver sped off -- unaware of the bloody disaster she left in her wake.

As the suspect drove away, the victim's boyfriend chased down the SUV and pulled the driver out of the car. The confrontation is the most powerful, emotional exchange we've ever caught on tape.

LAPD tells us a girl was arrested for felony hit and run and DUI. We're told the victim suffered a broken pelvis, but she'll be fine.

UPDATE: The driver of the car -- who sources confirm is the girl we got on camera afterwards -- registered a .17 blood alcohol content. Legal limit in California is .08.

18. The boyfriend was obviously in shock . . . wouldn't be so hard on him for not hurrying back to the scene with the girlfriend. He obviously wanted to make sure the drunk driver was held accountable.

19. While the woman will certainly live, nobody is going to be "fine" after having their pelvis broken. It's one of the most debilitating bone breaks you can suffer.

FYI.

20. The boyfriend was amazing in how he took the girl who hit his girl in his arms and tried to reassure her that he was not
going to hurt her, but only wanted to keep her calm and there until the authorities got t here.
Amazing.

All the while she is stoned, drunk, whatever, and saying "I would never leave, I was going to stop" When were you going to stop you slag? When you got home? just who the f**k is she?

I hope the girl is alright and please sue the pants off her.

Idiots

But that boyfriend is a true hero in how he got her out of the car and tried to keep her quiet and there and try to make her understand in her stupor what she had done.

He is amazing !!!!

22. Are there any updates on this female? That was so horrible to watch. And to the comment bellow about the boyfriend not being with the girlfriend. This could have been a hit and run, and no one would have known who did it. So, I believe he did a good thing to stop the girl from taking off. What if it was your mother?

25. Does anyone on this post think it's possible that this whole thing was staged? I mean, what man is going to hug and hold hands with a "drunk" driver after their girlfriend was just hit by this person? Eventhough the driver appeared to be upset and crying, I did not see one tear on her face. Perhaps, this was all staged in an effort to show people that they should not drink and drive. After all, this town is known for make believe. Just sayin'.

26. What a sad story - I hope the young woman who was hit will be o.k. I have no tolerance for drunk drivers, having lost someone dear to me by the actions of a drunk driver, but this video just hurt my heart for all parties involved. The boyfriend is to be commended for stopping the driver and for trying so hard to keep his wits about him. He showed a great deal of control and compassion toward the driver. I don't know that I could have done the same.

27. two lives ruined because one iditos doesn't know how to have a good time with out drinking. Unfortunately if this was her first time she wont get much more then a slap on the wrist. DUI laws needs to be stiffer fines AND jail time, topped with the loss of license.

30. Good for you TMZ, for all of the bad press you guys get, it's good to see that there is a benefit to having paparazzi around all the time.
