Carnage in the TMZ

We've covered the nightlife in the Thirty Mile Zone for three years -- but sometimes the club scene goes terribly, terribly wrong.

Our cameras began rolling around 2:30 AM, moments after an unidentified woman was smashed into by an SUV outside of STK and left motionless in the street as the allegedly boozed up driver sped off -- unaware of the bloody disaster she left in her wake.

As the suspect drove away, the victim's boyfriend chased down the SUV and pulled the driver out of the car. The confrontation is the most powerful, emotional exchange we've ever caught on tape.

LAPD tells us a girl was arrested for felony hit and run and DUI. We're told the victim suffered a broken pelvis, but she'll be fine.

UPDATE: The driver of the car -- who sources confirm is the girl we got on camera afterwards -- registered a .17 blood alcohol content. Legal limit in California is .08.

287. Well, I think he handled his girl getting hit EXTREMELY well. I would also like to say that this is the another issue with our country. We are always so quick to punish the people who do something like hitting someone in the car as if it is solely the fault of the driver. My take on this is that the driver was leaving the club? Intoxicated. Is this her fault or the Clubs? If she gets slammed, everyone down the line who contributed to her being .17 over the limit and allowed to her to get in her car and drive should be responsible too. SHE DRUNK! Some people just don't make the right decisions when they are drunk!! So why do we expect them to be responsible under the influence. This is stupid. I'm not defending her. she should have known she was gonna have to drive home, but how about some safety measures to avoid this kind of mess. REALLY--does it matter who's fault it is? The young lady still got hit by a car. You think she gives a damn about who's fault it is when she wakes up or is she more concerned about her health. How about an alcohol test for those leaving the club--you make the legal limit or you just don't freaking leave till you pass or something to that sort. She could have died. In the event slamming the other girl proves and helps nothing. Friends don't let friends drive drunk, and Clubs shouldn't either. In my opinion, the club owner should take half the blame and be fined like they do here in MD. In Maryland If you leave a party or establishment and you're pulled over, if the cops find out where you came from they get slammed also for letting you drive off from their location drunk.

288. I think the boyfriend acted like a prick to me it seems like this guy did not care about his gf if he was hugging the chick who hit her and holding her hand

289. Man, the people on this board think this guy was trying to grope a drunk female driver must be insane. If you didn't already notice in the video, there were already people on the scene to assist the girlfriend. Which on of you people would have the werewithal to actually prevent the driver from getting away? And as far as I can tell, he if anything at all was trying to prevent her from walking back to her car, not groping her. You'll notice he's sitting in the driver's seat so she can't get back in. You people must be stupid to think that after someone is hit by a car, their first thought is to go grope someone else. I feel bad for your significant others if that's your thought process!

290. One time I punched a guy for cutting me off and making my puppy slam into the dashboard. Jail would be the last thing on my mind as my fist pounded on this drunk driver. I MIGHT have been calm and just wanted to hold her for the police until she got out of her car smiling and smirking. My GF would have been proud to see me pounding the bitch that creamed her instead of waking up in a hospital watching a video of me hugging her. That guy must have been tripping out HARD on some X to be so kind and loving towards a stranger that has just DESTROYED your GF's life.

291. He said she was his girl. Maybe he's her friend, and not her boyfriend. Blame the drunk driver and only the drunk driver.

When the other guy said "She's dead," the guy threw the driver away from him. Obviously, he was emotional, but I don't think he was trying to "grope her" or anything. Yes, the hair/outfit/etc. make him look like he's low-class, but don't judge his reaction based on that.

294. June 7, 2008- Ventura Blvd./Densmore in Encino. Remember Sepehr & Farzad killed by a drunk driver. The driver was a nice kid just like the young lady in the video. God! The world is becoming an awful place!

295. The boyfriend was amazingly calm and cool with the driver. I commend him for his patience with her and for making sure the driver was stopped and arrested. KUDOS to him for all of his actions. How many of us would have been able to be so calm in such a situation?

296. #276 Way out of line. Maybe you should try to do good in order to get attention. Naughty child.

297. What an awful thing to happen to anyone. I can not believe, though, how the boyfriend of the victim stood there, in front of the cameras, ready for his close up. He was acting like it was his moment to shine and show everyone what a man he was by trying to put this low life in her place. He should have brought the bitch over to look at what she did! He should have stayed with his girl, as he called her. Some boyfriend! She, the bitch driving, was so flippin' wasted! I pray that girl who was hit won't have any life long effect and that the looser driving has to do some serious time and if she, the victim, does have life long problems, and I'm guessing she will, the bitch will have to pay all medical expenses for the rest of the victims life and some kind of money to the victim. Not that money would make it right, but at least it would be SOME kind of compensation. The ONLY good thing that happen is the woman who was hit survived. There is NOTHING good about someone getting in a car and driving after drinking or drugging and hitting or killing someone. Use some common sense, don't think it won't happen to you. It's simple, DON'T GET WASTED AND TRY TO DRIVE! YOU could be next!

298. WTH is he groping up against her for? First he acts like an a$$ hole and then he grinds up against her? I think they were both drunk and I didn't find it that "emotional", seems like they are all wasted and being idiots. WTF was he not back comforting his woman in the street?!

299. wow! that was interesting!!! too bad no 1 was a celeb lol jk. its a serious matter. it was probably the best video ive ever seen on tmz. no, the best video was actually prince von ahole talking about miley cyrus and paris hilton :) lol anyways it was still really dramatic. i hope the driver learned her lesson and everything works out uber super duper for the victim and her "man" lol

300. I think he was concerned about the driver getting away. Tragic, just the same. I wish the victim a speedy recovery.
