We've covered the nightlife in the Thirty Mile Zone for three years -- but sometimes the club scene goes terribly, terribly wrong.
Our cameras began rolling around 2:30 AM, moments after an unidentified woman was smashed into by an SUV outside of STK and left motionless in the street as the allegedly boozed up driver sped off -- unaware of the bloody disaster she left in her wake.
As the suspect drove away, the victim's boyfriend chased down the SUV and pulled the driver out of the car. The confrontation is the most powerful, emotional exchange we've ever caught on tape.
LAPD tells us a girl was arrested for felony hit and run and DUI. We're told the victim suffered a broken pelvis, but she'll be fine.
UPDATE: The driver of the car -- who sources confirm is the girl we got on camera afterwards -- registered a .17 blood alcohol content. Legal limit in California is .08.

Given that he kept mentioning his "lady," he wasn't so out of his mind that he wasn't thinking of her. I kept waiting for a moment where the light would go off in his head that he needed to get back to her and let his friend take care of it. Instead, he stood there doing a dramatic screen test and hanging on to the drunk driver. Maybe this was more about him being a vigilante hero than sticking up for his injured girl. When the injured woman was loaded into the ambulance, it wasn't her supposed boyfriend who was there holding her purse, talking to her and comforting her.
Sorry, it's a sad day when we have to congratulate a witness for not punching out the woman, even if she was wrong and he was a supposed boyfriend. Since when is it okay to punch someone who has committed a crime? If a cop had chased her and pulled her over, yanked her out and punched her, it would be called police brutality.
How could this girl hit somebody and seemingly be unaware she did?
I feel sorry for that girl that got hit. How horrible it must be to have such an annoying boyfriend!
Oh my god that's awful! You have to keep us informed on how the girl that got hit is doing. I hope she's ok. I hate stupid people who think it's ok to get drunk and drive their cars.
31. Does anyone on this post think it's possible that this whole thing was staged? I mean, what man is going to hug and hold hands with a "drunk" driver after their girlfriend was just hit by this person? Eventhough the driver appeared to be upset and crying, I did not see one tear on her face. Perhaps, this was all staged in an effort to show people that they should not drink and drive. After all, this town is known for make believe. Just sayin'.

What a douche bag he is! He is clearly flirting with this idiot drunk driver. What a disgrace! I hope the injured girl will be OK and dump this mo~fo!
I would love to hear an account of what happened from the boyfriend. He is captivating to watch. I definately want updates. A picture of the woman who was hit. How long the couple has been together. What problems a broken pelvis will be in the victims life?
That whole interaction between the guy and the driver was so fake! It really seemed like the guy and the driver were acting...just my opinion!
Wow, just wow. I have to say, that young man handled the whole situation with a LOT more compassion and courage than most people. That was an emotionally charged situation that could EASILY gone a different direction. Kudos to him for keeping his temper in check and giving fairly clear information to the authorities.
I hope his girlfriend recovers quickly.
Now, as to the young woman who was obviously impaired enough to HIT SOMEONE then drive off totally unaware of what she'd done, well, the courts will deal with her appropriately. There were too many witnesses to the hit and run for her to get off with a slap on the hand. There will be years of consequences for her. Not to mention, she's going to have to live with the realization that her bad judgement very nearly killed someone.
While the hug was a little uncomfortable, I truly believe that the boyfriend was just trying to keep her calm...keep her there until the cops came! I hope you keep us updated!
Let this be a lesson to all of us that think we're fine after drinking. It's never ok. Never.
THIS MAN IS AMAZING! HE DESERVES MAD PROPS FROM THE GUY UPSTAIRS..... HE JUST FORGAVE A WOMAN WHO RAN HIS GIRLFRIEND OVER..... UNBELIEVABLE. I DIDN'T KNOW PEOPLE LIKE THIS STILL EXISTED IN THIS WORLD. KUDOS MY MAN, KUDOS!
FIBiker: your ignorance shows by your comment. I'm sure you meant it to be comical but drinking and driving is serious. Hope you or none of your loved ones end up being a victim, especially with the 4th of July holiday approaching. Some people "just don't get it" even when faced with the consequences of their stupid choices.Tomorrow never comes for someones son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, sister...I think you get the picture.
I think the boyfriend was a little confused because he wasn't sure what a black rapper would do in that situation!
