Carnage in the TMZ

We've covered the nightlife in the Thirty Mile Zone for three years -- but sometimes the club scene goes terribly, terribly wrong.

Our cameras began rolling around 2:30 AM, moments after an unidentified woman was smashed into by an SUV outside of STK and left motionless in the street as the allegedly boozed up driver sped off -- unaware of the bloody disaster she left in her wake.

As the suspect drove away, the victim's boyfriend chased down the SUV and pulled the driver out of the car. The confrontation is the most powerful, emotional exchange we've ever caught on tape.

LAPD tells us a girl was arrested for felony hit and run and DUI. We're told the victim suffered a broken pelvis, but she'll be fine.

UPDATE: The driver of the car -- who sources confirm is the girl we got on camera afterwards -- registered a .17 blood alcohol content. Legal limit in California is .08.

why didn;t this guy go back to his girl, thats what he called her, i would have gone back to her,someone one else could have stayed with the dui girl.i hope and pray this girl who was hit, is alright, i hope the dui girl learns a lesson. BLESSINGS TO ALL.

93. I commend the boyfriend. He got this drunk off the road before she hit another person or killed someone or killed herself. It's all very sad. I hope the victim has a speedy recovery. The boyfriend did a great job of keeping it together. At one point you can tell by his face that he's about to explode, but he reins it in. Never seen anything like this before and hope to never see it again.

Guess he knew the victim was damaged goods by that point and might as well start trying to find a replacement. Who better than a liquored up tart in an SUV who is vulnerable because she just mowed down a club goer?

101. How often does this happen? And how often do people stoned on Marijuana hit people in their cars? And which one is illegal?
This is the first thing that comes to my mind when I see or hear of these types of incidences.
And that drunk bitch will end up getting a slap on the wrist and be out drinking and driving again before we know it. Only when the victim dies does anyone really get punished. I sure hope that woman is going to be okay, and I do hope she sees this video and asks her boyfreind why the hell he was hugging the woman who could have killed her.

102. Yup, just watched the video again. First time I thought the drunk girl reached for him for comfort, second time you can see he grabs HER then does a little reach around to feel some side boob. And what's with the idiot yelling in the background, "That lady's like, dead!" Really sympathetic to the boyfriend! And totally a cock-blocker move to the boyfriend trying to get some before the cops arrive.

103. I just watched the video again. The DRUNK GIRL had such a bad attitude when she got out of the car. She kept trying to act like she was just trying to pull over then she tried to act like she didn't know what happened. She was fully aware of what she had done. You can tell she's one of those spoiled kids that never had to be held accountable when she does something wrong. Her facial expression was like "whaaaaaaaat...OMG she was like in my way". She's disgusting! It's toooo obvious that the boyfriend was just trying to keep her calm because if he so much as lifted a finger in her direction the entire situation would have been turned around and he would have ended up in jail rather than her. Damn shame!

104. This is horrible! My prayers go out to the injured girl and her family. I did kind of wonder why the boyfriend did spend so much time with the driver, but maybe he just couldnt go back to see his girlfriend. I did like how he said to the driver how everyone makes mistakes and he forgives her. If that were me and that was someone I love on the ground I would have decked someone. If the driver were Paris Hilton this would have all been a big joke!

105. Soemthing is fishy with that video. I am thinking that maybe he really wasn't the boyfriend of the girl that got hit??? It didn't look like the same guy who was going with her into the ambulance. Maybe it was a paperazzi that wanted to be on camera so he pretended to be the boyfriend when he stopped the girl that did the hit and run.
