No, their faces weren't mauled off by a chimp, they're just two of the creepy, faceless people that have recently turned up at various events in England.
This masked couple was snapped at a Wimbledon match this week and while it's unknown what or why they are doing it, the buzz is they could be part of the anti-Scientology group Anonymous.

21. Mysterious faceless people have been attending prominent London events. Everyone seems to agree that this must be some viral marketing scheme, the most likely culprit being Group Lotus cars who have the facelesspeople.com url. The 'Faceless Ones' were also on Doctor Who forty years ago.

27. Yep it's something to do with Lotus disappointingly. Go on facelesspeople.com and they have a count down timer and the Lotus logo. Shame really. I was hoping it was a celeb couple (I was thinking Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltro) protesting about not being able to go out in public without there faces being photographed. I was dissapointed to find out it was a car company advert :(
