31. @ #1 Anthony

I totally agree. I always think twice before bringing my 5 year old son anywhere in LA. How scary to think you can be walking and be plowed over.
Scary.

34. #22 @ 11:43 Get your facts straight Yes, the insurance on the car will pay for her bodily injury. However, in California the minimum liability coverage limits are only 15,000. So this Lucy will not be "fully" covered by a long shot! She would then have to sue this girl for anything above that. As a pedestrian, your own car insurance usually kicks in & helps to cover you with uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. I wish Lucy luck & a speedy recovery

35. She can't sue! The dumb drunk broad probably doesn't have anything to her name. Hopefully her job will do a fundraiser to pay for her expenses.

36. No insurance thank god he chased the girl down. At least she will be covered now.

37. I am supposed to feel for her because she has no insurance? She works with celebs and she doesn't make enough to have insurance. THAT is a crock of sh*t. Like Lenn K said: she was probably more worried about a cell phone, lap top, handbags, clothes, etc. I'm pretty sure she could afford insurance.

The last thing we need is obama to socialize America. Work hard and be smart about your money. Take care of YOURSELF. Don't make me do it.

38. 16. Do you know what? This would never happen in Canada!!

We insure everybody, whether they have money or not -- universal health care FTW!!

Canada > Bush! hehe

40. so is tmz going to take up a collection for her ?

41. Ok I'm going to put my 2 cents in this. The victim in this is going to have some long term consequences because of this accident that she will never recover from. Not knowing all her injuries other then the ones reported having her pelvis destroyed/broken ect shes going to always have discomfort. Shes going to have to worry abt her ability to carry a pregnancy depending on the extent of the damage, and she will more then likely develope arthritis down there. I'm sure the driver has insurance that is going to pay big time. Also it has been reported that she is a 27yrold non-employed girl living with a sugar daddy. If this report is true chances are the sugar daddy is paying for the insurance of the vehicle, and might even be the supplier of the auto. If this is the case then he is gonna have liability. Just because the insurance will only pay x amount of dollars deosnt mean the victim will not be able to sue the girl seperately and the sugar daddy. So for all u sugar daddies out there remember if the candy that ur supporting is irresponsible enough to drink and drive your gonna get thrown into a major mess because U could be held responsible if u supplied the means or you are also attached to the insurance

42. even if the drunk bitches insurance pays..it may not be enough for future care. her limit may be (just a number) 200.000 and that may be the max they offer this poor girl. that will not help her..what if she can never work again? she's going to have to go on disability..it stinks but she's going to have to sue and hope something comes out of it for her. The drunk won again!!

Does CA. have a crinimal injuries fund? Lucy can send her bills there, they pay the doc. and the FUGLY has to pay the fund back not Lucy.

43. What are the auto laws in L.A.? In NY we have no fault and non insured on our auto policies. The person hit, since she did not have a car would be covered under the no fault on the driver's insurance. Besides, the driver was dui and did not even realize she hit someone-if it isn't covered with insurance, it will be covered in the lawsuit that will happen.

44. She needs to apply for Medi-cal. They will pay her medical bills. Once the lawsuit is settled, the insurance company will repay medi-cal. Most hospitals have someone who will assist in the application process .

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
