Al Pacino: Say Hello to My Illegal Friend

Unless he was ironically calling the cops on himself, Al Pacino pulled a big California no-no yesterday -- as he yapped on a cell phone while pulling out of a parking garage.

16.

Oh, and by the way TMZ.....which is more dangerous? Talking on a cell phone or having 20 stalkerazzi chase cars bristling with paps hanging out the windows?

Yeah. I thought so.

17. I've seen so many phone yappers I knew they wouldn't enforce it....that is, until I DO IT.

18. Come on people, don't you know that celebrities are exempt from all laws? And if you are really loved, you can get away with murder. Right, OJ?

21. I'll be glad for the day when it will be against the law for the paparazzi to get less than a thousand feet from a celebrity.

22. The same "hands-free" law just went into effect in Washington (where I live) and it's a secondary offense. That means that you can't be pulled over JUST for talking on a phone, but if you are pulled over for, let's say, speeding, and are ALSO talking on a cell, then you get an additional fine. My gues is that this is the same for the CA law.

I might be wrong because I'm not a CA resident, but I just thought that this might be the case....

23. No, in CA it is not a secondary offense but a primary one; you can get pulled over just for using your cell phone not hands-free. The ticket is only $20 though, so it's not likely to be a big cause for concern for some folks like Al. Most phones now have a speaker function.

24. This guy is an ICON! Hmm, what's more distracting, talking on the phone, or talking on the phone with a bunch of photogs are yelling at you while you're trying to drive? (must be an extremely slow day for TMZ). I'm 40, and I'd do him. lol. There's no one like him in all of Hollywood. He's classic Hollywood. Not like Carey Grant and such. But when acting mean't something. Today's actors/actresses can't even come close to his caliber (He along with DiNiro, Harrison Ford, Dustin Hoffman). there's no one else. These guys better live forever. Nothing could replace them.
