Britney Projects Self On Madonna

31. Madonna is a legend mock her or not, she will be loved forever and beyond. She could stop doing it all today and the world would still worship and idolize her. There is no other single female artist who can compare or even comes close. She is known WORLDWIDE while most of the artist today are only know here in the US!

THIS STATEMENT IS SO TRUE. Here are some FACTS for those of you who say she is washed up and her time has passed.

She was the #1 Female artist last year in earnings

Her tour was #1 last year in earnings

She has more top 40 hits that ANY other female or artist except for Elvis and the Beatles

LiveNation stated she was the first BIG artist they wanted to sign. They signed her to a $120 million dollar deal. Then and only then AFTER did JayZ and U2 sign with LiveNation as well.

Her upcoming tour is estimated at probably grossing $270 million dollars. The most by any female artist and in the top 10 of ALL TIME!

She has remained in the spotlight and popular for 25 years while all her other peers (michael Jackson, George Michael etc) have not had a hit in about 10 years!!!

You see there is a reason why she is an ICON and others like Janet, Beyonce, Brittney, Mariah are nothing more than female singers. She was the FIRST FEMALE to break down barriers for female artist by doing things the way she wanted to do them and was not some female puppet following all the male ways of the industry. She did it HER way and kicked ass. I am a male and I think it is really cool that she didnt put up with any crap or back down from male influences. As FERGIE just said in an interview "if it wasn't for Madonna none of us would be doing what we are doing to the magnitude we are and certainly not making the money we are are today. She broke down all the barriers for women to do whatever they want."

So if you haters want to bag on her being washed up it is really without any SUBSTANCE. I just laid out the facts and if you want to argue any of it go for it!!!

35. TO #30, I have to agree with you. Madonna has done well for herself but sadly I don't know if that says something about her, or something about us. We certainlly don't seem to set the bar very high anymore when it comes to the quality of our actresses or musicians...

37. Looks like Brit Brit is making a career out of being crazy but she probably thinks it's because of her huge talent. Soon she won't be funny anymore and Brit will be in for a big letdown. By the way, I don't see much of a clamor for her new album and another comeback. Could it be that some are finally seeing Brit for what she is?
