The apartment manager in the Dane Cook Poopfest '08 eviction trial apparently has a "smoking" gun.

Tomorrow at 10 AM, jurors will watch video of Dane's dog, Beast, s**ting in the common area of the complex. This, after the manager testified that he posted signs and even slipped a note under Dane's door outlining the pooping rules.

In Feburary 2007, the manager delivered a letter to all pet owners in the building saying 10 piles of "little black poo" were found in the common area. Beast is a miniature pinscher. If the stool fits.....

Is this a smear campaign? Stay tuned.

32. Here is the real inside scoop....the owner of the building hates Dane. He wants him evicted because he drives a fancy Astin Martin and lives in a rent controlled apartment. Lord knows Dane should be able to afford a big house in the hills but for some reason likes his rent controlled apartment. The rent is WAY WAY WAY below market value----.if the landlord is able to kick Dane out he can then rent the apartment for the current market rate. Dane's dog is not the only dog to poop on the property
the place is usually VERY VERY clean.There are maintenance people there every day. Also it is highly possible that
other dog owners could be leaving their dog poop on the property as it is open to the street and anyone can walk to the back of the building. This is just another case of a greedy landlord trying to evict a tenant and and on the other side a greedy has been comic trying to stay in his cheap rent controlled apartment so he can afford an Astin Martin.
