19. I could feel some symypathy for this woman if she didn't treat every day walking in and out of court as if it were a runway . . .honestly whoever thought about her anymore unless we caught some of that awful infomercial she does for that exercise crap.

I think she is enjoying all the camera time and talking to the news men everyday. She is perfectly groomed, someone is taking care of her make-up, hair etc...daily. Even at the end of the day when she is suppossedly upset and had been crying "real" tears on the stand, who is re-doing her hair and make-up? Whaty a phoney.

I think they deserve each other.

21. She justs wants to get back at him. She knew far before they married about his porn and women problems. Also the drugs. Oliver Chandon dumped her cuz he thought she was there for the $. Her nannies hate her. She makes them do everything for the kids. She can't craft like she claims. Nor paint. She is a fake too. If what Alexa says is true that he pushed her into a bucket what mom would stay with him? NOT ME!! I would kick his butt! Rumors are too he also did a young starlet. hmmm.

22. If Christy Brinkley is such a great mother why would she want to keep her children from him. He may be addicted to porn, sex but he has always been a good father or at least that is what she has always said. Just because she found out she wasn't the center of his universe she wants revenge. Christy, you shouldn't use your kids as a tool for revenge...now that's poor parenting!

I'm with you 'Nj'...i don't neccesarily agree with what Christy is doing and i don't get the point of this whole public spectacle because it sounds like her douchebag of an ex-husband is not going to win this anyway. The jerk, Peter Cook is a lousy/creepy guy and he started this whole mess but one has to sympathize with the kids because it looks like neither of the parents learned the golden parenting rule "to put your childrens' interests above your own at all times". Peter's sexual escapades are disgusting and Christy's whole "woman scorned" attitude is not healthy. They need to end this.

I'll never forget years ago when I lived in New York and knew someone who worked for the Brinkley/Joel family and HATED Christie - said she was absolutely a grade A bitch to deal with - mood swings, anger management problems, major diva, wife/employer from hell. to get back at her - my friend's 'secret revenge' was to have friends over, now and then, have drinks and snacks and watch Alexa's birth video. classic. I never saw it, just heard about it.

27. I don't think it is good for the children to be exposed to all of this humiliation of a public trial, BUT, if it was closed, Christie & Peter could both come out and say whatever they wanted to say to the "public". Yeah, I know, some people don't care to lie in a court of law.

It would have been better for a closed trial with a gag order that neither of them could speak about it or write books.

I also have to wonder why, if Peter put Alexa's head in bucket of water, and constantly demeaned her, why in the world would Christie stay with him? If the shower was leaking through the floor, it is pretty obvious they could afford a plumber!

It seems like beautiful, rich women ALWAYS pick the wrong men and have insecurities.

I would rather be middle class, pleasingly plump and not look like a starlet!

30. Boy there are alot of jealous peple on this blog. To rip Christie to shreds becase she is trying to protect her kids from this nightmare husband is nuts. Even if the trial was kept behind closed doors the rumors still would have swirled. Peter Cook commited a cime by sexaully harrassihg his teenage mistress in the wortk place. He paid the mistess off $300K so she wouldn't sue him with the EEOC. Instead of working, he was having sex the office with his mistress and in the many homes that Christie owns. He spend thousands of dollars in gifts for his mistress. He had a severe addicton to porn and masterbated over the internet. Any sane woman would have anger issues with a situation like this. I think Christie Brikley is a very strong women to take this guy on and fight to raise her chidren in a normal environment. Go Christie -----
