16. Another reason why he didn't call the cops is if it's a parking area it's considered private property. Cops wouldn't of done anything exceot tell them to exchange names, insurance info and phone numbers. Which Colin Farrell did himself.

17. Forogt to add the reason I know this is because it happened to my mom and me in a doctors office parking lot a lady backed into my moms car and we called the cops, no report was written because it's private property, we exchange info and that was it.

29. Cal the Cops? Are you in Mayberry? Parking lots are private property belonging to the owner of the building(s), even if you call a cop, both parties would need to be present and if your cars were drivable, then they would just tell you to drive down to the station and make a report in person. In situations like this, Colin did the right thing. You take some pics with your cell phone, leave a detailed note, take down their car info, etc.. You don't need a police report to file a claim.
